We are only 10 days away from a phenomenal weekend full of talented musicians and great company! The Big Turn team would like to give a special thank you to the 100+ volunteers that are working with us to ensure the success of our festival this year.
That being said, we are still in search of Venue Captains to help us keep compliant with capacity limits per venue and to guide volunteers during both shifts.
Venue Captains can choose to work on Friday, February 16th from 4pm-12am, or Saturday, February 17th from 4pm-12am at a specified venue based on availability. Volunteers are welcome to take on both shifts, but will be given a free wristband for BTMF on the day not volunteering if they choose not to work both shifts.
If you are interested in volunteering as a Venue Captain, please contact Tim Thomas, Volunteer Coordinator, at [email protected] for details on how to sign up and current shift expectations.

Bio
Tim Thomas is an American indie singer-songwriter. He has been active as a composer, recording artist, and live performer since the early 1990’s, and is known for personal, introspective lyrics with sweeping melodies sung delicately over shimmering acoustic guitars.
Born in St. Paul and raised in Red Wing, MN, Thomas picked up the guitar at age 18 during his first year of college in Wisconsin. Thomas began writing songs and formed a band shortly after and has been writing, performing and recording songs ever since both with bands and as a solo singer/songwriter.
Thomas cut his teeth performing as a singer/songwriter over the course of several years as the house musician at Jimmy’s Pub, located in the historic St. James Hotel as well as full band gigs in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. Thomas has released several studio albums as well as several EP’s throughout the course of his career, both as a solo act and with full bands.
Thomas has been writing songs for almost three decades and is known for lyrics about life, love, whiskey, bad choices, underdogs and redemption, many of which recollect melancholy tales from his life.
