Yesterday, the Facebook group Trenton Orbit broke the news that Trenton's new Housing and Economic Development Acting Director Massiel Ferrara, was no longer employed by the city. The city's watchdog page also noted that Arch Liston reportedly was Ferrara's successor. Trenton Journal founder, Kenneth Miles, reached out to Mayor Reed Gusciora for confirmation, and this was his response:
"Massiel is leaving for personal reasons. She was a great help in assessing the Departmentâs strengths and areas in need of improvement. She set us on a course for improving inspections and code enforcement. She helped with grant acquisitions in housing and economic development. We have appointed Arch Liston as an interim Director to continue progress within the Department."

Posted ⢠As Mayor of Trenton, I am proud to endorse Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. Her experience as VEEP was instrumental in one of the most productive, administrations in recent history. Now sheâs ready to lead our nation forward with vitality, integrity, and vision for a for a stronger nation. The contrast couldnât be clear: Kamala represents the energy and diversity that America needs in its leadership, while the opposition is led by someone older than Ronald Reagan in his last year of office. This upcoming election will surely be one of the most dynamic and consequential in our lifetime.
