There are a lot of questions out there on the new California law AB1346 that restricts the sale of certain CC Gas Equipment for 2024 going forward.
We still have some MS170 and 180 gas chainsaws but once that supply is depleted we will no longer be able to bring them into our stores.
That said all gas chainsaws are not illegal to sale.
Your choices will move up a bit from homeowner units to something that are a bit more robust and have larger engines.
Come in and see us and we can help you make the best decision possible.

If you have questions on the upcoming ban on Gas powered Outdoor Power Equipment come see us.
AB 1346 go in effect on Jan 1st. We will not be able to sell many gas powered items manufactured after that date.
This is impact Lawn Mowers, Chain Saws, and Line Trimmers the most.
The inventory we have is legal to sell until depleted.
This is not to say you will not have gas options for say a chainsaw but you will move from a MS170 at ~$189 to a MS251 at ~$380
Currently Gas powered Generators and Pressure washers are not impacted but that will being within the next several years.

You may not have heard but CARB has new restrictions on Gas Outdoor power equipment.
We are receiving some of our last Small Gas powered STIHL Chainsaws, Blowers, and Line trimmers.
Once these units are sold they will not be reordered.

Our Story
Ace Retail Holdings, the division of Ace Hardware Corporation that owns and operates the Westlake Ace Hardware chain, is one of the largest hardware retailers in the United States. Headquartered in Lenexa, Kansas, Westlake Ace Hardware has been in operation for over a century and operates over 130 neighborhood stores located throughout the United States. The company was started in 1905 in Huntsville, MO, when W.I. Westlake bought part ownership in a hardware store. The company slowly expanded over the next few decades until Westlake joined the Ace Hardware distribution network in 1959 and eventually became the largest Ace dealer in America.
Our dedication to service doesn't start and stop with only homeowners. Because of our start as a small business, we have a unique perspective on the needs of our business customers. We understand business owners have a unique set of needs that must be met in order to stay profitable. Each Westlake Ace Hardware has a dedicated Commercial Account Representative to help our business customers keep their businesses running smoothly.
