Today, we celebrate our farmers and loggers on National Farmers and Loggers Day! District 25 is so lucky to have these two industries provide job opportunities, education, and economic growth in our rural communities.

I’ve built and run successful businesses, raised four kids, and dedicated over 20 years of service to our community, all at the same time. I’m ready to tackle any challenge that comes our way.

Louisiana REALTORS Fall Governance meetings were held this week and we were able to dig into the issues homeowners are facing and what our members are seeing with our Homeownership Study.

It was great to hear from almost every candidate running for Statewide office as they each took the time to travel to Shreveport to speak to our group!

Also a huge congratulations go to my wonderful friends, the outgoing President Tony Cornner and incoming President Cindy Dyer!

Great morning spent meeting with Guillory Petroleum Transport and Louisiana Motor Transport Association, Inc. and other Representatives and Stakeholders listening and learning about the issues and concerns of their industry.
Our truckers and transporters are the fabric that holds our economy together in touching every product we use in some form or fashion. Men and Women working hard every day to take care of their families and communities. I look forward to helping support them as State Representative for District 25!

Growing up in a rural community instilled in me the importance of responsible gun ownership and a love for our God-given right to bear arms. I’m proud to announce I’ve received an A rating from the National Rifle Association. As your State Representative, I will unapologetically defend your Second Amendment rights.

I miss those Rodeo days and in fact think about them often as I pass my barrel saddle that resides in my living room! Yes, it actually does!

According to our friend Meteorologist Nick Mikulas we set a heat record yesterday, but that didn’t keep us from working hard to meet as many voters as possible!
It is so important to learn about the people we vote into office and you have my commitment that I will work just as hard for our District and for each of you in Baton Rouge as I have been through this crazy heat!
A great day with a lot of water and then a good wrap up at Flying Heart Brewing & Pub - Natchitoches, it was great to see so many students and their families excited to be kicking off their year at Northwestern State University/Northwestern State Demons!!

Thank you Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (DOTD) for allowing the community to listen to the proposed changes and ask questions! Communication is always key for everyone involved! I was happy to get to discuss how the people impacted on HWY 28West feel about the changes last night. We all learn from each other and that is so important!

May have almost set a record at 5:20pm today and at that exact time I was right down the street, knocking on doors and having great conversations!
When I say I will work hard and never waiver in doing what is right and needed for our District, I mean it! Even record heat doesn’t stop me!

Sorry Igloo Roofing. When you sponsor the page, you get the good and the bad. It’s not the official high yet, but it looks like AEX hit 108 at 5:20 PM. That would put us one degree off our all time record of 109 degrees, and at this point, let’s just break that and get it over with. Dew points fell into the low 60s, so it “only” felt like 111 degrees. Small victories. The slightly less hot front is still on the way, so it’s possible we see upper 60s on Wednesday and Thursday morning. I fully endorse that potential.

So great to see so many people at the Cenla Chapter Friends of NRA Banquet at the Alexandria Riverfront Center last night! This NRA - National Rifle Association of America fundraiser to support our youth programs in our community in 4-H and YHEC shooting sports takes me back to my 4-H years!

This is what you call a rock-solid team! Today, we made it official — I’m the only candidate running for state representative that’s running on my commitment to our community, not my family name.

To build a better path forward for all of Central Louisiana, we can’t keep voting for the same old same old. We have to vote for new leadership. We have to vote for change. We have to vote for someone who will listen to your concerns and deliver for our community. I’m ready to defend our Conservative Christian values in Baton Rouge.

This is so much bigger than running for an office, we are all a part of One Nation, Under God.

Our prayers are with the Ville Platte City Marshal's office. The Men and Women who wear the badge and go out in the middle of the night to protect us all are the epitome of a public servant, giving of one's self for the benefit of others.

We all need to remember and honor their sacrifices, they are the true heros that walk among us.
