About Us!
We are 2 full-time RNs and Mamas who decided to add something else to our plate! We began our new hobby of making custom t-shirts in 2019. We primarily do sublimation printing, but do a little vinyl as well.
Sublimation printing is the process of transferring an ink image onto another material, such as a t-shirt, via heat. A high count of polyester is required. With sublimation, the image cannot be felt and will not crack or peel off. Sublimation is meant to look vintage and some fading with multiple washes is expected. This is an ink being infused into a material, requiring a lighter color material in order for the image to be seen. If you attempt to transfer ink onto a dark colored material, the image will blend in with the dark color of the fabric. For those wanting sublimation designs on darker colored shirts, we now do bleached shirts. When we bleach around a design, the color of the shirt is removed, leaving the design on the lightened portion of the shirt. Check out our photos to see this look!
Using HTV or Heat Transfer Vinyl involves cutting out a design from vinyl and transferring the design onto a material via heat. HTV can be used on cotton, polyester and most other blends of material. It can also be used on light or dark colors, as it is applied on top of the material. Designs using HTV are much more limited than with sublimation. Each color in the design requires a separate layer. HTV or vinyl designs tend to be simpler designs and not mutli-colored.
