The very first step in making change in any area of your life is awareness.
Want to change your eating habits? Become aware of what you’re currently eating.
Want to improve your fitness level? Become aware of your daily movement.
Want to modify a drinking habit? Become aware of how much/how often you drink.
Want to manage your money? Become aware of your spending habits.
Awareness can lead to some uncomfortable feelings as you look at the situations and tendencies you created and continue to use to help you ignore your true reality.
Habits like over eating, over drinking, or over spending are buffers we use to illicit a false sense of pleasure to avoid these uncomfortable feelings and realizations.
There are lots of people who choose to continue buffering and never seek awareness- and that’s ok. It’s their life and they get to decide how to live it.
There is also an increasing number of people who are choosing to do the uncomfortable work and seek out awareness and growth instead of buffering.
There is no right or wrong way to live. Just make sure you like your reasons for the life you’re living.
If you don’t like the life you’re living then it’s time to get uncomfortable.
The quiet and fog added to the eerily abandoned highway.
Her vibrant colors of graffiti tell the tales of through travelers.
Each hoping to have left their mark on history.
I stand, not alone, but in my own quiet and respectful solitude.
My empathy feels overwhelming and this deserted town speaks of sadness and hope lost long ago.
Thoughts are OPTIONAL. Choose only those that serve your highest good.
My life changed when I began to learn how the brain/mind works. I started asking better questions about my life and life in general. I reevaluated what I believed to be true about EVERYTHING.
I replaced thoughts that no longer served me with ones that did. That switch ultimately led to feelings of gratitude.
The “heaviness” of life slowly began to lift. After that I was hooked and have never looked back.
This new way of thinking, this new outlook on life, this enlightenment was a complete game changer for me.
Having a positive mental attitude is a learned skill and a sign of emotional maturity…
It isn’t about being in a good mood or thinking happy thoughts all the time.
It’s about learning how to find the positive when a negative situation occurs or being able to find a place of neutrality.
Life is ALWAYS happening FOR you, even if you don’t know why yet.

Energy flows where focus goes.
A lot can happen in a year when you are intentional with how you spend your time.
What are you focusing on for 2023?
Learning how to manage your mind and recognizing your limiting beliefs is hands down going to be one of the most impactful things you could do for yourself.
