Happy International Women’s Day 💪🏽
What in the climate change hell is this foolishness? People are just not serious about eradicating the climate crisis when you host climate talks in a country that is a leader in oil and gas distribution. Outrageous!

Today is the 10th anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster where the building in Bangladesh collapsed killing 1134 and injuring over 2000 people primarily garment workers. The disconnect between the clothes consumers buy and the people who make those clothes is far too great. Behind every article of clothing, some, accessory, there is a human being just like you. Consider your buying choices. Let your dollars match your personal beliefs and convictions. Say NO to garment worker abuse. Say YES to ethical fashion.

I love switching off from organizing to decorating Christmas trees and gift wrapping. It’s so much fun to bring my client’s trees to life. Most of my clients reuse their decorations year after year. They change things up by adding a few new pieces. The holidays are tough for me. Creating these happy spaces helps to make my holiday bright. Taking new clients through December 23rd.

What a great weekend. Had a blast with my fam
Jess and I jumped on the Amtrak to visit the Jean-Michel Basquiat: King Pleasure exhibit in NYC. We stopped off at and ate delish pizza from .ny It was ridiculous! I want a whole pizza. Hit the exhibit. It was well done. Organized and curated by the family of Jean-Michel Basquiat, this exhibition of over 200 never-before-seen and rarely shown paintings, drawings, multimedia presentations, ephemera, and artifacts tell the story of Jean-Michel from an intimate perspective, intertwining his artistic endeavors with his personal life, influences, and the times in which he lived.
Had to grab a book and a big a$$ coffee mug. Did some thrift store shopping, of course. Stopped at . Enjoyed their salmon superfood salad and a strawberry vanilla olipop. Love the concept of healthy food for an affordable price. Please bring it to DC!
I’m so blessed to see another birthday. I’m lucky to have people around me who love me and want the best for me. I’m a lucky girl.

Had so much fun during my little escape to Philly. Hung out with my sweeties & Thank you for your hospitality and love. I enjoyed the tunes, the dancing, every bite of the delish food and taste of the smoothest bourbon that I’ve ever had. The mezcal shots put your girl to sleep. Haha Went to the Fan Fest. Hung out with Chelsea fans. Blue is the color! It is so nice to be able to hop on Amtrak, be somewhere in less than two hours and be able to relax and let go. See you next time Philadelphia.

Black RVA: Shoutout to .shad and the whole crew at .rva for my delicious meal tonight. The watermelon & heirloom tomato salad was ridiculous. Next, double cut lamb with tabbouleh, it was magnificent and cooked to perfection. The final act was a most delicious blueberry shortcake. I’m so full. If you’re in Richmond, you have to stop by. It’s the brainchild of Chef Mike Lindsey and worth stopping in for an incredible meal.

The ambiance at dinner… It was so delish.

Here’s some of the architecture that I drooled over on E. Main Street. I know that people were looking at me like I was crazy. I was mesmerized. There are so many old banks. It’s the Main Street Banking Historic District. It’s a national historic district that encompasses 19 contributing buildings located south of the Virginia State Capitol and west of the Shockoe Slip Historic District. It is the location of a number of buildings built for or occupied by banking institutions. The district includes representative examples of the Late Victorian and International Style architecture built between about 1865 and 1965. Notable buildings include the Virginia Employment Commission Building (1960), the 700 Building (1964), the Ross Building (1964), the Fidelity Building (1965). Located in the district is the separately listed First National Bank Building. (info from Wikipedia)

Definitely here for the architecture 😍
The historic former Parcel Post Building at 1100 E Main St. in Richmond, Virginia was originally designed by Marcellus Eugene Wright, Sr. in association with the Richmond architectural firm Lee & Smith & Van der Voort. According to some sources designs were drawn up during the Hoover administration, in 1929.

There are few things that I love more than architecture and interior design. Totally enjoyed the screening of “Breuer’s Bohemia” during the Architecture Film Festival at the National Building Museum. I’m so obsessed with the entire Bauhaus crew.

As I get older, I realize how much of the world runs on the power of women. Beyoncé said it. “Girls, we run this mother!” Happy International Women’s Day! Let’s keep growing, let’s keep building, let’s keep fighting for that better world that only we can bring to fruition.
