Tony Bottino for State Rep

Thank you to everyone who supported me in my campaign! I cannot believe the passion and conviction of my supporters. I will say that this has been a fantastic experience for my family and I. My wife, children, parents and sister worked hard and had a lot of fun. Even the cat got in on it!!! My son Anthony did an excellent job managing the campaign! I cannot thank enough those that worked with me on a constant basis. You know who you are and I loved every minute working with you! We met many great people and made many new friends. While the pandemic hurt our campaign as a newcomer, I cannot complain knowing the real pain it has caused our country and those around the world. We continue to pray that our nation will successfully move through and past this challenge. We also pray that the our nation will unite and find constructive ways to solve our problems. I hope that my campaign was able to put forth a positive message. A message that we need to find ways to work together for the betterment of our communities. A message that together can do better! Again a huge thank you!!!

We may not know the final results for a few days. Stay tuned.

Our area is at a critical point. We continue to lose business and population while surrounding areas grow. Our communities need leadership to bring vision, hope and a strategy for the future. I have been a true conservative all of my life. Unlike my opponent, I did not switch parties to run for office. I have always been adamantly pro life and pro second amendment. Working together I am confident that we can bring industry, small business and families to our communities. I humbly ask for your vote.

Thank you to my family for your support! They have been a huge part of my campaign. They have helped me communicate my strategy for our district. They endured the lies and smear campaign against us. They have worked like champions! Now it is time to finish strong!!! I was born here, raised my family here, established and run my businesses right here! I believe this area can come back strong! I believe I am the best qualified to lead our great communities. I will stand strong on my conservative values in Harrisburg. We are all family here in our communities. Come out on Tuesday and cast your vote for positive change!!! I humbly ask for your vote.

The following is a letter that B GEN. Dave Papak, U.S. USMC (RET) and Coach Joe Ravasio wrote in response to my opponent's false mailers. The letter was intended for the local paper. The local paper is not printing political letters at this time. Dave and Joe gave me the letter to share.

Let’s Just Set the Record Straight:

Recently, the Republican candidate for the 49th House District of PA has been under attack by the incumbent. Recent flyers falsely accused Mr. Bottino of the following:

· Bottino was falsely labeled “liberal” – He is a very strong conservative.

· Tony’s opponent said, “Tony Bottino has remained silent while Wolf pushed for more taxes, gun control, and abortion.” – Tony Bottino has NOT YET been elected State Representative and he does NOT YET have a voice in Harrisburg. Everyone Tony has met and spoken to knows that he is a VERY STRONG PRO-LIFE and PRO-SECOND AMENDMENT supporter and he STRONGLY OPPOSES ANY TAX INCREASES…

· Tony’s opponent said, “Bottino is being ‘bankrolled’ by the politically connected who put their friends before your family.” Tony has always been a servant to his friends, business associates, and community. He has NEVER, nor will he ever sell his soul to anyone.

· Tony’s opponent said, “Tony Bottino is endorsed by the same liberal bosses who fund Wolf and attack President Trump.” Tony Bottino has never endorsed, voted for, or assisted, in any manner, Governor Wolf. He and his family have been always supportive of President Trump.

· As many of you are aware, Governor Wolf visited Monongahela during Sept. 2019 and on his tour of the downtown area he was impressed at the level of development he witnessed. (As referenced by the photo of Governor Wolf and then Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce President Tony Bottino).

· As Tony’s football coach and friend for the past 35 years, I trust him because of his excellent character values of honesty, integrity, compassion, his tremendous leadership skills and tenacity.

· So, to set the record straight, Republicans can trust Tony Bottino. You can be sure that what Tony Bottino accomplished as Monongahela Chamber President, State Representative Tony Bottino will do for the rest of the 49thDistrict.

· So, before you vote on June 2nd., we just wanted to set the record straight

Fayette County is a large and beautiful part of the 49th District. As your State Representative, I will work with the leadership in the Fayette communities to help them realize their vision and solve their problems. Closed roads, sewer backups, storm water issues, flood zones and helping the fire departments are a few of the things that need addressed. I am excited about what we can do by working together in Fayette.

I want to strongly express my support for pets and against animal cruelty. As your next State Representative I will protect our pets with tough laws against those who abuse animals.

My opponent voted against Libre's Law.
Libres law is now the law in Pennsylvania and defines penalties for those who abuse their pets and animals. Serious abuse can result in a felony under Libre's Law. Repeat offenders can be given escalating penalties. This legislation better protects pets and animals across Pennsylvania. My opponent voted against it. I assure you I will support any legislation in PA that protects across our pets.
