Today we celebrate Rosco!! On this day 7 years ago we drove up to Media, PA met the sweet boy and welcomed him into our little cat family. We don't know Rosco's exact birthday day so we celebrate it today. Can you believe he's turning 14!?

I was looking through old photos from the time we brought him home and he spent a week quarantined from the other 3 babies but looking through the pics it didn't take him long to make friends.

Scroll a few, and you'll see Rosco on top of the beams in the kitchen and dining room. He figured the catwalk out right away but didn't spend much time up there. One day, he jumped down from the refrigerator, and his tooth snapped off in his lip, and in usual, Rosco spirit, he came over to tell/show us and went to his bedroom. A little "meow, look at me, I'm going to bed." I thought he had litter stuck to his lip, and when we tucked him into bed, I noticed it was HIS TOOTH! Poor guy is always so chill.

Rosco's chill personality won over the hearts of Papa, Penelope and even my grumpy little queen bee, Ebeneezer. Papa and Rosco became fast friends and lovers, they were inseparable. Rosco would always make time to give a little snuggle to Penelope and respect Neeze's space.

Now there's a whole new gang and cat politics. Good thing Rosco has veranda time and a pram now for walks to get away from the little Fraggles.

Happy birthday Rosco! You can eat all the Churu you want today!! 🥳 Love you sweet boy!

Our guestroom, complete with vintage German wallpaper, Rya rug left from the Hirsch's, Knoll Noguchi cyclone table, and Orik's long legs.

One of these days, we have to find the hardware to finish setting up the Omni wall unit so I can fill it with my collection of books and knick knacks.

My dressers sold over the weekend and I was able to drop off a SOLID walnut 2 drawer dresser (this thing weighs a ton) and a petite cabinet by Dillingham designed by Arthur Umanoff.

Unfortunately, I do not have good news to post about Sasha. Yesterday morning she had an early emergency vet visit since she has been vomiting the past couple of days. She had an xray, blood panel and ultrasound which showed her kidneys to be that of a much older cat (she just turned 3 last month) and she either has IBD or lymphoma.

There is no way of knowing if she has IBD or lymphoma unless you are to do a biopsy because the symptoms are the same. Even for kitties that are sweet little angel babies, biopsies can be difficult, toss in a sassy girl that ripped out her IV and rubbed her face raw at the vet yesterday (as seen above) Sasha does not make a good candidate.

We're taking this day by day, she'll go back to the vet this week for follow up visits and we'll discuss what the next steps are to keeping her comfy with some form of steroid and B12.

On a positive note, she hasn't vomited since early Friday morning and has eaten! I'll be keeping a close eye on her all weekend and giving her all the love.
