In celebration of National Banana Day, we had fun incorporating this fruit into our speeches and Table Topics. We learned about the history of bananas, the health benefits they offer, and even shared some delicious banana recipes. Toastmaster Nancy Deig, DTM, led this fruitful meeting ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ˜‹

But that's not all! We also welcomed a new member to our club today - Michael "Mike" Bell Jr. We're thrilled to have you on board and can't wait to see you grow as a speaker and leader with us. Also, great job today on your Icebreaker speech ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŽค

We had a great meeting today with the theme of National Vitamin C Day, led by Toastmaster Chaze Patrick We learned a lot about the importance of Vitamin C and how it can boost our immune system. ๐Ÿฅ•๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ…๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“ We also had a great speaker and evaluator as well. ๐Ÿ‘

Moreover, we have inducted a new member into our club and we are excited to welcome her to our team, Cecily King with Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana . We hope that you enjoy your Toastmaster journey with us and take full advantage of the learning opportunities provided. Cecily also did a great job serving a Timer and was our Table Topics Champion today. ๐Ÿ†

Additionally, we recognized our members who have made significant progress in their public speaking and leadership skills based on the Full Circle Toastmasters program - Jose Ocampo and Bernard Gogel, DTM. Evansville Rotarian to receive Toastmasters Communication Achievement Award
EVANSVILLE, INDIANA, USA, November 21, 2022 โ€” Gretchen Ross, TV Anchor/Reporter at Eyewitness News WEHT/WTVW in Henderson, Kentucky, will be honored by the Crescent Toastmasters Club of Evansville, Indiana for her achievement in the field of communication. The event will be held on Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at 12:05 p.m. at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Evansville, Indiana.

Ross's communication achievements include: her involvement in serving as an emcee in several area events, her membership within Rotary as the District 6580 Social Media Coordinator, board member for the Rotary Club of Evansville, and active member of the Evansville Rotary at Night Club. Ross also is a member of the Junior League of Evansville. Ross was selected for this award because she exemplifies communication excellence based on using her talents in helping organizations enhance their impact within the community.

โ€œโ€œIn a time when clear communication is vitally important, Gretchen continually demonstrates exemplary communication skill and a commitment to clarity and truth in alignment with the values of Toastmasters,โ€ says Jordan Dant, Club President for Crescent City Toastmasters.
