From our people, to the land, to the wildlife, the Ahtna region is full of incredible resources and opportunities. As a natural resource Tribal wireless spectrum provides an opportunity to expand connectivity and manage natural resources. Through Yakaas Na, an initiative led by the Ahtna Intertribal Resource Commission (AITRC), we are working to build partnerships that expand how connectivity is essential for advancing AITRC's work in natural resources.

The Yakaas Na initiative is funded through a broadband use & adoption grant provided by the NTIA Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program. Through the National Telecommunications and Information Administration funding our objectives aim to advance Tribal natural resource management through wireless spectrum, communicating AITRC work, and inspire community members to safely use the internet to its fullest potential.
