For a while, everyone was talking about how important the timing of your meals was. It was believed that ๐ฐ๐ก๐๐ง you ate changed how your body processed your food and stored your energy. It was said that eating late caused you to retain more calories as fat, so the calories โcounted as more.โ โฃ

This just isnโt true. โฃ
โฃโฃโฃ
๐ช๐๐๐ you eat and ๐๐๐ช ๐๐๐๐ you eat are WAY more important than ๐ช๐๐๐ you eat. โฐโฃโฃโฃ

๐๐ผSome reasons that this myth gained traction:โฃโฃโฃ
๐) ๐๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ฌ ๐ญ๐๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐จ ๐๐๐ญ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ซ๐. People who eat later tend to consume more calories than those who eat earlier. More calories = more body fat. โฃโฃโฃ

If youโre looking to make a change, the first step you need to take is in your diet. โฃ

Unfortunately, most of the dieting world focuses only on how much youโre eating, when in reality, what you are eating is much more important. โฃ

โSo what should you be eating? โฃ

Well, this is different for everyone. Depending on your body composition, your lifestyle and activities, and a few other factors, there is some variability here. However, there are a few things that apply across the board. Most importantly, you should be eating real whole foods, no added sugars, no additives or preservatives, no hormonesโฆ REAL food, fresh fruits and veggies, lean meats, whole grains, nuts and seeds. This is the best place to begin your journey. โฃ

โAnd how much should you be eating? โฃ
