We love it here too!
In fifteen years of owning Chase Court I’ve come to appreciate the simple elegance of traditional gothic architecture. There is a realness to it, an authenticity of solid form and structure. All of that makes it easy to decorate, remarkably intimate, and endlessly romantic. Candles sparkle and colors pop against the neutral ivory, tans, and browns of the woodwork and plaster. Tableware shines in the light of the incredible leaded-glass windows.
The one thing that’s not traditional is our attitude. Couples that are not welcome in other gothic structures are embraced here. Le***an, gay, (we’re approaching our 70th same-sex wedding) trans, goth, and couples holding every spiritual belief (and lack thereof) that you can image come through our doors to find acceptance and welcome. We have all kinds of ceremonies in the garden or the great hall, followed by relaxed, easy receptions, inside and out. Underpinning all of that is our experienced professional support (not to mention a new, kick-ass website, http://www.chasecourt.com!), and an amazing group of approved caterers that includes Rouge Fine Catering, Zeffert and Gold Catering and Event Planning, The Pantry Catering, Santoni's Marketplace & Catering, Eleven Courses, Sascha's Catering, Linwoods Restaurant and our newest caterer, Hoopla Catering.

Very small weddings — 30 guests in this case — deserve all the good things! A custom-written ceremony, gorgeous flowers, professional wedding photography, options for live music (this couple chose a classical guitar), and of course, a beautiful venue are all part of our elopement packages at Chase Court.
I’ve created and fine-tuned packages to meet lots of budgets, for weddings from two up to 45 guests. (We host larger weddings, too, unpackaged.) There’s even an option for a cocktail-style reception, so you can do everything in one place.

Born in Lorain, Ohio, of immigrant parents from Puerto Rico, I am the 2nd of fourteen children. At 14, I entered the seminary and was ordained a Roman Catholic priest in 1981.
During my 30 years as a member of the Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity, I served as a missionary priest in Mexico for 14 years. Feeling a call to be married as well as to minister outside the confines of the church, I requested dispensation in 2005.
In 2008, I joined CITI Ministries, a lay organization that locates, recruits, certifies and promotes married Roman Catholic priests to fill the spiritual needs of the faithful. This 501(c)(3) organization performs a comprehensive screening of priests before acceptance. Through CITI, I was recognized by state and local agencies to licitly officiate at weddings and perform other ministerial functions.
Since then, I have performed numerous interfaith as well as traditionally catholic-style ceremonies. Fluent in Spanish from birth, I am one of the few bilingual officiants in the Maryland-DC-Virginia area and have performed many bilingual ceremonies.
