It may be difficult to see the details in this makeover, but the side walls are Carrara marble tiles and the lavatory a hand painted epoxied Carrara marble countertop.

While the Cararra marble epoxied countertop has proven to be a huge money saver for the DIYer, it’s a job that requires time and patience.

Each step, from prep to completion is a process in and of itself. So I like to focus on one step at a time, breaking them down in my mind as their own project.

Once each step is done, it’s like a check mark on the To-Do list; a mission accomplished; a task/project completed. 👍🏼

As for hiring the job done, the beauty of recycling your old countertops is as follows:

1. It saves the planet.
2. You get to customize your colors and finish that best compliment your design project.

Other benefits of epoxied countertops include:

1. They are very durable.
2. They are very easy to clean. I have found them easier than the original finish.

I also contacted Stonecoat Countertops and ordered Pearl Dust and Diamond Dust for a subtle glam finish. In cooking terms, I added a pinch of each to the epoxy top coat. 🤗
