Please join us for our first club presentation of the new semester! Happening this Wednesday Oct 5th at 5:30pm in the Kellogg auditorium by Henry Schein’s very own Kathy Miller about Practice Analysis!
Kathy will be going over an example of how Henry Schein helps practices improve their production and increase revenue through a workflow presentation from an example practice in the area.
Good will be provided.
Free for UMich AGD members and $5 for nonmembers. (We will accept exact cash or venmo only )

What a great networking social hosted by Henry Schein Dental last night with so many awesome vendors! Our AGD members are so grateful for not only Kathy and her amazing team for organizing this event, but for all the vendors who joined us and answered all our questions about their different products and services. The evening was filled with informational, inspirational and fun presentations and we look forward to many more events with Henry Schein Dental in the future!

UPCOMING LUNCH & LEARN *THIS WEEK*
Join us IN-PERSON THIS TUESDAY, MARCH 8 at 5:30pm to discuss Clear Aligners in General Dentistry with Dr. Hanan Kazbour Rizk () & Sam Riga, from Align Technology Inc., the parent company of Invisalign. Dr. Rizk was born and raised in Southeast Michigan and graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy’s accelerated BS DDS program with honors before relocating to Ann Arbor, where she now practices dentistry.
This L&L is open to all UMSD students and FOOD WILL BE PROVIDED for those that complete the Google Form (shared in the email sent about this L&L) and stay for the duration of the presentation. This L&L is FREE for AGD members and $5 for non-AGD members (venmo or cash).
NOTE: this L&L is pending final UMSD approval. Room number and any additional information will be shared as soon as available.

The annual AGD Advocacy Conference will be held virtually this year and is scheduled for this Saturday, November 14th. The AGD Advocacy Conference is an opportunity for AGD members to learn about the most prominent legislative issues impacting general dentistry. Topics such as commercial insurance, state advocacy best practices and new concerns as a result of COVID-19 will be discussed by panelists with extensive knowledge on each subject matter. This year's virtual platform will provide attendees with a robust experience. The zoom link to join, as well as a breakdown of the schedule, can be found in the email sent to all members yesterday!

As part of this week’s White Coat Sales, AGD at UM is excited to offer M Dentistry iPad sleeves for only $15! The sleeves are great for protecting your iPad and are compatible with the 10.2-inch iPad 7th generation provided to students by University of Michigan School of Dentistry .
Information will be provided by email in the coming weeks regarding when the iPad sleeves will be available for pickup. We will be distributing at the Dental School outside the Palmer entrance using a safe social distance plan.

Fall semester is in full swing and Duesday Tuesday is nearly here! Tomorrow, September 29th, the Academy of General Dentistry University of Michigan Chapter (a.k.a. AGD at UMich) is excited to officially kick off the inaugural year as a student organization . Dues are only $40 ($20 UMich Chapter; $20 National) and include a free t-shirt PLUS 3 free months of National membership (Oct-Dec 2020).
