Should parents choose the gender of kids they want to keep or not?

I was dumped by my mother when I was 3 years. my mother dumped me after losing all the kids which she hard after delivering me. The first child who was old than me was a boy, who died at age of 9moth. Before my mother knew it, she was pregnant while she was still grieving for her loss.

The I came in the picture, right way from grieving & I was a girl. But then since the first child my mother had before was the boy & she is what loved most.

My mother never saw me as child since the only thing she wanted was to have a boy. Not so long within 8 month my mother got pregnant again. this time she was lucky & she got boy she wanted to have.

But her happiness didn’t last longer than she expected, this boy who was my brother died at age of 5month. This left her angrier and more frustrated. She started ignoring me not even wanting to feed me. When she stated that” I don’t know why I lost my children’s and it’s this one that survived”.

My mother packed her stuff and left home left me alone with my father and grandmother. she added that I’m done with this cursed family, I can’t continue producing my children to grave. You can stay with your cursed child I don’t want to see her again or hear anything from her.

If this was your mother, would you forgive if she comes to you asking forgiveness?

Was I really cursed?
