My name is Heather Kelly, former co-founder and lead singer of HipKnosis. I am the host for The Indie Music Room which was created in 2019. This podcast is my opportunity to create a platform for artists to share their original songs, explain the thoughts behind their creations, and play their most recent recordings that a majority of the audience has not yet heard! Being an artist myself for nearly 20 years, I know what goes on behind the scenes to create an album of original music – I have released several original projects beginning in 2006.
Indie artists easily can be needles in the commercial haystack, but the Indie Music Room will give artists an outlet to connect with more listeners, hopefully open some doors, and FINALLY get their music heard!
The show has a fun atmosphere, with interviews being recorded at the renowned Junior’s Motel Recording Studio.
Be sure to subscribe to the Indie Music Room on our Fort Dodge Radio YouTube Channel and you'll be notified when each new show is released.

1) Please submit three original songs as well as a short biography, website links, and any videos that correspond with your submitted songs. This helps us to get to know you better and it will be used in producing the show.

Because of music royalty considerations, we can only use your original music, and your submission gives us permission to include your music on the Indie Music Room podcast, radio show, and YouTube channel. No covers will be accepted.
3) We ask that you promote your appearance on the Indie Music Room by sharing your interview on your artist/band website and with all your social media followers prior to and during your monthly spotlight. Please include how you will help us cross-promote your appearance on the Indie Music Room.

It's been awhile since I have updated our HipKnosis fan page. First and foremost, I would like to thank all of you who supported us during our ten year career. I have learned so much from the very basics of songwriting and recording to the back end of managing the band and all the aspects that come with it. What we are most proud about is the music we created during those ten years and have decided that we would rather you all have FREE access to these works, therefore, we our now offering free streaming and downloading of ALL the songs that we have released to date. I'm sure there are more in the closet and perhaps those will come out sometime in the future. For now, I have moved to east coast, and the remainder of the band continues to work on new projects that are dear and near to each of them! Thanks again for making my last 10 years so exciting!

Eagles of Death Metal Recount the Paris Attack and Their Escape From the Bataclan

Watching this band discuss the chaos the night of the attacks in Paris was heartbreaking. Working with my band so closely, I cannot even begin imagine what they have been through! They are willing to turn over all royalties and rights to any band that wants to cover their original tune "I love you all the time" with the intent to donate any money made to the victims of the attack!
Pray for peace for what they have endured!
