TEXAS.GOV SERVICES IMPAIRMENT ALERT: A technical issue with CrowdStrike is currently causing global computer outages impacting several industries, including Texas state agencies. Some Texas.gov online services are also impacted and you may not be able to complete transactions at this time.

we’re celebrating two Texas legends...

First up is Bessie Coleman. Born in Atlanta, TX, she was the first Black woman to earn her pilot’s license on June 15, 1921. She wowed crowds across the U.S. with her fearless flying at air shows, earning the nickname "Brave Bessie."

Next is Waylon Jennings. Born in Littlefield, TX on June 15, 1937, he was an iconic singer-songwriter who became a leading figure in the Outlaw Country music movement. He sang alongside some of country’s greatest artists including Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash.
