backpacks 2018 was a HUGE success! We are so thankful to be a part of the team as they make a positive impact on the communities around them.

We’re on the downhill slide of Monday and looking at a week of cool creative projects! Can’t wait to share what we’ve been working on.

This past year brought an unbelievable amount of change into our lives and business… From pursuing new ventures and adding new team members, to having babies and moving homes, our whole team underwent a lot of transition. Without a doubt, this was a year for growth in every way.

As YLM continued to grow, it became clear to Courtney and me that we were lacking the margin in this season of our lives that we feel is necessary to running a healthy business while raising a growing family.

Today at YLM, we are celebrating Hope. A Hope that death will never win. A Hope that darkness will always give way to light. And a Hope that all things are still being made new. We have this Hope simply because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ three days after he was crucified and crushed under the sin of the world. Sin and death were no match for Him. There is no greater Hope than this, friends. Happy Easter!

What are you thankful for?

Success should never come easily. Success can’t be inherited or gifted to you. You don’t show up to work everyday expecting success to fall in your lap. You show up to work everyday ready to earn it.

We recently picked up a copy of the new book, Building a , by Donald Miller and were challenged to really think about if we're making the brand or the customer the hero of our story. Such a good read if you're looking to clarify your message and find a story worth telling!

A favorite marketer of ours, Seth Godin, shared this recently and it really resonated with where we find ourselves even this week...

“You get the journey and you get the stress. At the end, you're a different person. But both elements are part of the deal.

There are plenty of journeys that are stress-free….And there's plenty of stress that's journey-free. What a waste.

We can grow beyond that, achieve more than that and contribute along the way. But to do so, we might need to welcome the stress and the journey too.”
