Please donate if you can! Winard Harper had helped young folks ESPECIALLY black and give them opportunities in this music. Moore’s needs your help and NJ needs Moore’s. Please donate what you can! Remember the first time I went it already felt like home. This is the ONLY session the NJ jazz scene has. It has helped so many of us young folks with our careers. 💜

Herbie Hancock Institute ‘25. tbh i’ve been contemplating what to say for the past few days… I still don’t fully know what to say. I’m just extremely grateful🙏🏾. Thank you again to my mentors . Jerz raised me & NYC built me. Saying goodbye to life in NJ/NY after 22 years is hard but I’m extremely excited!! I can’t wait to make music with my beautiful new friends and be mentored by the greatest musicians in the world. I’m incredibly thankful fr. Lé Queen takin over da west 🫱🏾‍🫲🏽. set 2 bouta start up

Thank you to everyone who braved the drizzly and cold weather yesterday to join Andrew Latona guitar, Destiny Diggs Music bass, Chris Latona drums and Lucy Wijnands vocals and visual art, and yours truly Jon Faddis, at 's the Jazz Forum!

Seeing a wonderfully full house, both sets, enjoying good food and good music and each other's company -- it's a great feeling! I really enjoyed the evening, and it was great to have all sorts of Jazz fans in the audience, folks on dates, folks celebrating birthdays, families with young people and older too, and individuals, all coming together to share in live music. Thank you for being there!

Thanks also to tenor saxophonists Jenkins and Nick Massimo, who brought enthusiasm and great sound on their instruments and kindly joined us on stage. Love it when Conservatory of Music at Purchase College students and alumni keep on creating music and dedicating themselves to this art.

Also in the audience a recent competition winning flautist and people hailing from all around the world ... who knows who may show up tonight, but I am looking forward to it immensely.

Also, a special note: at yesterday's first set, a family was present -- a young person about nine, who plays trumpet himself, his slightly older sister, and their dad. I had the opportunity to speak with this family pre-show, and we talked about the young trumpet player bringing his horn to play a few bars this evening, if he felt like it. The dad voiced concern that it might not be possible, partially because the first set is sold out, and the second set is close to that. I want you to know: young man (and sister and dad), if you see this, and if you want to come, please do. I will find a way for you to have seats, even if is in the "Billiards/Jazz Library" anteroom at the club. I do know your first names but I am not writing those here to protect privacy, but the "front of house" staff will know from me to keep an eye out for you this evening if you do come. I also hope you will DM me and that we can stay in touch, and I would like to invite you to a performance in Jazz.

Thanks to all, especially Mark Morganelli and Ellen Prior, for having the vision and determination to keep live happening.
