Church camp has been a huge part of my life since I was a pre-teen and it continues to be. To say I LOVE camp would be an understatement. It was my privilege this year to be the director for our MABA (Mid-Atlantic Baptist Association) Camp, "The Crucible". There were some difficulties along the way with this being our first year back to camp since Covid. God did what he does best and used His people and His churches to give us an amazing week. In all of my years going to camp I think this was probably one of the most intimate weeks of camp I have ever been a part of. The spirit was very sweet and God did some awesome things. I know of atleast 5 salvation decisions that were made during the week. I just wanted to share this to thank everyone who was involved some prayed, some gave financially, some gave alot of time, and of course there were those that showed up for the week of camp. I have a great staff of people behind me that honestly made my "job" very easy. Thank you Herbert Daniel, Benjamin Smith, Charles Shoemaker, Brandon Rutherford, and Scott Jones! Already looking forward to next year and hopefully some things to come throughout the year before camp so stay tuned!
StoneBridge on our way to THE CRUCIBLE!!!! Ready, Set, Focus!!!
StoneBridge is ready to get our campers on the road tomorrow!!! So excited!!!!
Hello Everyone,I hope you all are doing well! We just got back from the national meeting in Orlando. I know this is a very busy time of the year but we have to get your camp numbers today! You can send a spreadsheet to us through this email or you can give us your information by clicking this link: https://www.stonebridge4u.com/crucible
We have to get this information over to the camp for lodging purposes and if we aren't going to use all of our space (we probably won't) we want to give them time to release that and try to fill some of it so we can hopefully get a little break on our final invoice. I also want you to be praying about how your church might be able to help out financially in the event we have to cover more cost due to our contract minimum. If you have any questions about this please reach out to me. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE GET YOUR CAMP NUMBERS!!!!!!! This doesn't have to be your final count just what you have as of right now. ThanksJosh MarshMABA Camp Director

Hello Crucible! I wanted to jump on here and introduce myself and my ministry partner. My name is Brandon Rutherford (the one with the wicked awesome mustache)lol. And the other guys is Cameron. We operate a ministry called Ride for God, it is a ministry geared towards the extreme sports industry, mainly sports with boards, skateboards, surf, snowboard etc… we are super excited to be coming up to work with you all and especially the teens! We both love to have fun and let loose. So I hope you all will join us this summer and I hope we can have a great time while learning about Christ and build new life long friendships.
We have extended the invitation to Brandon Rutherford to come and be our teen director for the week and he has accepted our invitation! Brandon is from Calvary Baptist Church in Orlando Florida. He leads a ministry called Ride for God. It is a skate board ministry that travels around and reaches people at skate board parks. Brandon and all of our camp staff are very excited about having him join our team this summer for camp.
The theme for MABA Crucible Camp 2022 is “Ready Set Focus”. Our speaker, Scott Jones, will be helping us with keeping our eyes on Jesus and not the things around us. Many things distract us from Jesus and His Word. While we are at camp many of those distractions are removed so this is a perfect time to refocus. Ready Set Focus will help us see what is important in our lives.
I wanted to let you all know a little bit about our camp speaker for this year, Scott Jones. Scott is a Texan who currently pastors in Monticello, Arkansas for Pauline BC as College Pastor and MBSF Director on University of Arkansas @ Monticello. He was raised in East Texas as a preacher’s kid and was saved and baptized at 10 years old. He surrendered to ministry in 2009 and attended seminary in Henderson, TX receiving his degrees in theology. He began ministry pastoring smaller congregations in East Texas and planted a Disciplelife church in Austin, TX. He is married to Katie Jones and has 5 children. He loves everything Texan and his favorite thing is to ride his Harley in the hills of Arkansas.
We just got a website up where you can go to print out the registration and waiver forms. We will try to post some content there as well in case someone doesn't have Facebook. We are counting on those of you who are seeing these posts to help us get this information out.
