Memorial Day weekend progress... 47 inked, 55 penciled, just a few more then scanning and post and printing
Its been a year since production started in earnest, just finished this double pinup splash page making 41 done, maybe 20 left. Lots of fiddly lines take time, but the more you do 'em the more you do of them. Also, kickin the card game around too. See you on the other side, hopefully before the end of 2024
Ok, here goes: Proof of Life. The book has been in production all year, but it won't make it out this year, so that means 2024... but here is the cover (with tweaks) and back covers drawn 13 years apart... 'nuff said! Big assist goes to Mike and Debbie for the geo location data: Merry Xmas and Happy New Year ya Crumbbums
Hatching is back! Crumbs 9 will see a return to basics and page 12 which features a record number of ink lines. This bad boy took the entire Sunday to ink. Cant promise each page will be this dense, but I was unhappy with the results before so this page was a course correction. The book will probably be under 50 pages, and I cant help but think about next books finale. One page at a time dear readers...
Crumbs 9: Back 2 Basics is in production, slowly. Second to last book!
Just something I threw together today, good to see ol' Chuck in the flesh!
New Neoconflagrant Comic: "My Dinner With Kanye"
So I hear it through the grapevine, some of your books have arrived (or should have)! Joshua was the big sticker winner, but there are a few out there who should be in Suit heaven too! If you got your book, let me know! Post a pic here or tag me, so glad you guys were interested, and I hope you enjoy reading! Onto the next project my friends
A big thank you to all my readers, my print run has finally arrived! Books, new and old, their sales will help me to continue my hobby/art into the future. Crumbs 9 next? Maybe...maybe, but for now my most heartfelt thanks to you guys! Stickers are in the mail!
STICKERS! YES! Still waiting for the prints to arrive, but I did make some stickers of my art in the meantime. High quality glossy vinyl, 2 bucks for a 4 inch Crumbs Skullpop and 1 buck for a 3 inch Suit vs Salaryman! If anyone is interested you can message me and I'll send them to you in the mail for $3 + postage, so like the whole caboodle of both for ~$3.60ish.
How about a contest? The first of my readers that messages me interest and provides a mailing address I will send you my new stickers FREE. Everyone else, I've got plenty so if you want 'em, tell me and you can paypal me. Once the books arrive I'll be selling it all as a package deal. (paper clip shown for scale). SUITS ON, SKULL POP, just let me know which you like best and if I should do more...
Saleo, the HardDrawn Sell Bot is once again activated!

Use code WELCOME15 for 15% off anything you order (but who knows for how long).
48 pages of B&W art in incredible DOT O VISION, bound in a shiny color cover, attempting to replicate the look and feel of silver age comics, The Suit #30 is the newest piece by KevinG.
If you want to peruse everything he has for sale, goto https://www.lulu.com/spotlight/harddrawn
Don't worry, profits are small! Watch out for those shipping charges! Anyone in my immediate vicinity can get heavily discounted books by buying direct for me, and I will try and sell you some stickers too! As we get older we all seem to be living farther apart, especially in the 10 years since my last sale, so a special thank you to anyone who orders online and has to pay the shipping charges. Lulu.com is a print to order business, so hopefully it will go from hot off the press straight to your door with no issues. Drop me a line here or anywhere if you pick one up, Lulu does not tell me who bought what. Maybe when the next Crumbs is finished we can discuss an Apocaparty, but kids would have to be involved so that will be difficult. Anyways, we thank you for your support.
While we are waiting for the new books to print, I've still been sprucing up the Crumbs online version with select color pages. Here is the newest one in Issue #2, read Crumbs 1-6 for free while the newest books are in production
Well, I finally did it. I finished a new book. Issue #30 of the Suit is finished, and it ends with a first of its kind Origin/Finale Issue. Don't let the cover fool you, the issue is colored in DOT-O-VISION just like the webcomic! 48 pages of Mamma Jamma Slamma, The Suit comes to an unlikely conclusion as he fights the rest of the office to stop the Board Men from closing his department, and his friends all losing their jobs! Comes with additional vintage ads, covers, and surprises galore! Stay tuned to find out how to get one from me or order your own (my print run will be low, but will be hand stamped and numbered). SUITS ON!
Half Way Done! Of course I went and did this the hard way, but what else do you expect? Hoping to get this out by the end of the month, or at least before my birthday! Turning out good I think, stay tuned for more and how to buy, boy, thanks!
How ironic! Dealing with searing back pain has been an issue finishing up The Suit book, so why not look back to when that was an issue in a issue of the webcomic! Take a look back to 2011 when we were all younger and healthier, and catch up on the backstory to the book that is a backstory to my one superhero comic, The Suit! The book will try to be on sale by the end of the summer, if all goes better!😁
Give 'Em The Chair! Part Two (12) A webcomic about fighting the system from the inside, but still collecting that paycheck. With superheros."
Scanner goes BUZZZZZZZZ on my time off...
Aaaaand, inks are finished! 44 pages of Suit action, his first book that innovates by being an origin and finale! Tying up all the loose ends from the webcomic that ran from 2011 till 2014, it will feature a brawl that will knock your socks off! According to records I started finishing this book at the end of 2021, but there is still scanning, cleanup, lettering and printing to go. Hang in there!
They say that's why pencils have erasers. But a lot of my pencils don't, the arty ones. You have to buy the eraser separate. Is there a lesson there?
Lots of graphite on the fingers this week, had to do a major redesign on a main character to be more in line with theme. That meant new pages and fixing several others. It's inked up and beyond page 37 now tho, new pages bring it to 44, it's almost a full book, but the post processing and lettering will still have to take place but it is nearing completion in some sense of the word.
Just a little something to color now, from 1999
Pencils= may 2020.
Inks= this week. See, told you it will all get done... eventually
So what have I been up to these many long years...? well honestly besides contemplating the philosophy of lines, I've been beating myself up for not finishing any art projects. There was a forced hiatus there for awhile, but with COVID's rise and arthritis' fall, it slowly crept over me to finish THE SUIT. The world's first issue of SUIT will be an Origin and Finale (its last issue). Started back when I first suckled at corporate America's teat, Suit came to a crashing halt once that company unexpectantly closed and my daughter was born the same weekend. The book that is planned has pages from almost 2 decades ago from the conception of the character, and the tricky part was to lay out new pages in between to make it continuous with the web episodes; full of action and humor. I am currently inking page 22 of 44, the big grand fight between Suit and Salaryman, some of my best work and the longest action sequence yet, with just a couple of pages left to pencil if need be. The work has been pretty steady at a page or half page a day on weekends, so we might need to wait till 2022 for publishing. I have no idea of cost or how I can reach out to you dear readers, but it does feel good to know that I can and that I will. (Below see an earlier page featuring Suit's father, The UNION fighting one of his fiercest foes from the 1930's, StrikeBreaker)
You know its getting seriously black when the chisel sharpie makes it into the rotation
Getting reused to penciling, hands fine. Book expanding exponentially. And do I color, or perhaps greyscale? Thats a decision for another day. Inks will test my hand health, lungs and patience. High quality output after talkin stories with old friends. 3 day weekend to good use
More lateish night pencils lookin good I must say
Whole lot of pencils goin on... Well, some
Good Day Crumbbums. I know I've been quiet lately, been in my head too much since turning 40 probably. But I wanted y'all to know, young and old, that the first arc of Crumbs is now up and readable on the Crumbs Comic Archive. Check out the new handy dandy colored cover and pages and the retro Black and White Interiors. I figured before I move onto my next new project (which will most likely be tying off The Suit) I should get Crumbs up to a point. Well, here it is. Love you guys, keep the faith, "an Eyebrow is naught but a whisper to a blind bat..."

Been a'penciling all weekend. Rusty, but pushing through. Who knows if anyone will ever see it, lol
Hey guys, I've posted Issue V this week. With a new color front and back, we're almost caught up to Crumbs first 10 years, if you can believe it.
