Sarah Reed Children's Center
For more than 150 years, the Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center has been known and respected for high Services and Programs
Sarah A.
Reed Children's Center provides a broad array of programs and services to address the emotional needs of children and adolescents who are having difficulty experiencing success, whether at home, in school, or in the community. Each program/service in our continuum of care offers a safe, supportive, nurturing environment for children, adolescents, and their families to help them develop the skills necessary to experience positive growth and emotional well being.
Today we’re celebrating our wonderful friends at Erie Insurance and McGill, Power, Bell & Associates, LLP! Thanks to their generosity (and great golfing skills!) Sarah Reed Children’s Center is the recipient of an $11,000 contribution through the Erie Insurance Charity Challenge, which is benefiting our St. Ann’s Campus Enhancement: Phase 2 initiative and helping to secure additional project funding. This $700,000 Phase 2 endeavor will enable us to continue renovating and restoring the St. Ann’s School for the 100+ students and 350+ families we serve on Erie’s east side annually. This building has been educating Erie children and helping create student and family success stories for 100 years! Special thanks to everyone at Erie Insurance and McGill, Power, Bell & Associates, LLP for their dedicated friendship and generosity – together we are positively impacting children and families in the Pulaski-Lighthouse neighborhood on Erie’s east side! We are overwhelmed by the generosity of our 2024 Erie Gives Day donors! Even though we are still awaiting our official results, you have already shattered all of our previous Erie Gives Day records, and we couldn’t be more excited by your outpouring of support for our children and families. We will be reaching out to thank each of our donors personally, and please stay tuned to see how your contributions are transforming the historic 100-year-old St. Ann’s School, as we continue to raise the funds needed to complete our $700,000 St. Ann’s Campus Enhancement: Phase 2 initiative. Last week, Jessica Fuda Daddio (owner & instructor of Dreaming Tree Yoga) traveled to our Hamilton campus where she led the students in a fun & upbeat yoga class. Students and staff had the opportunity to learn different yoga poses and review the importance of mindfulness and meditation. Thank you so much to Jessica & Dreaming Tree Yoga; we had a blast!!!
Thanks to the Bob and Betsy Guelcher Fund established for the Residential & St Ann’s Campuses, we were able to significantly enhance the library by updating and adding to our book collection at the Residential campus. These new books were recently suggested by our clients! We are grateful for the ongoing support of Bob & Betsy Guelcher throughout the years. This is the most recent of many enhancements made possible through their heartfelt generosity. Betsy loved to read to the children here at Sarah Reed; her spirit of reading and learning lives on through the establishment of this fund. The kids are excited to get these new titles for some Summer 2024 reading!

Erie Gives Day is coming up on Tuesday, August 13th! This year, all donations made on Erie Gives Day will be put towards our St. Ann's Campus Enhancement: Phase 2 project - a $700,000 initiative to continue improving our eastside campus, located in the former St. Ann's School. This 100-year-old building has helped over 200 students over the past two years and hundreds of local Erie families. Watch our new ad below to learn more!
