The ideal candidate is ambitious, self-sufficient at creating content, and full of ideas! A love of animation, toys, games, hobbies and pop culture is also a must!
Responsibilities:
• Create new content for our Facebook, Instagram, and Youtube platforms, in creative and attention getting new ways to highlight products, events, snap shots of how things work, comedic moments, etc. and tap into new and popular Social Media trends
• Create inventive live action content around our products
• Help engage with our audience from the brand’s voice
• Understand and share performance metrics on a weekly basis
• Keep up to date with the latest new platform trends, and share learnings
• Participate in regular content brainstorms

Qualifications
• Proven track record of creating creative content on Social Media content that has performed well and grabbed attention
• A passion for experimenting on social media platforms
• Strong knowledge of what performs well on the platform and what doesn't
• Videography, animation, design education or equivalent relevant experience a plus

Job Description

Order Fulfillment – Work inside our store/warehouse, picking, packing and shipping customer orders. If you like a fast-paced, physical position that gets you up and moving, then come help bring orders to our customers. You will work 15-30 hours per week on shifts that range between 4 and 8 hours.

We are a internationally recognized Hobbies, Toys, Crafts and Gifts online retailer. Since 1988, we are best recognized as "The Source" for scale modeling supplies, built-to-scale products and scale model railroading, diorama and dollhouse miniatures. We've supplied projects from special effects movie scenes in miniature, the White House's "Past Presidents First Homes" Collection, architectural and engineering scale model presentations, TV and Movie celebrities personal dollhouses and model railroads. We are now also a major supplier of craft supplies, indoor and outdoor home & garden decor, wild bird feeders and birdhouses, and a factory authorized ride-on toy parts and service center.

Dedicated to providing the highest quality Hobby, Toy, Craft and Gift products and customer service, Oakridge Hobbies takes pride in assisting our customers in a personalized, friendly, and precise manner that ensures that every experience is an exceptional one. We are a small growing family-owned niche business, with a people centered family-owned company culture, and are serious about our continued growth and expansion, and we are looking for a couple additional key players to join our team!

JOB OVERVIEW

Order Fulfillment – Work inside our store/warehouse, picking, packing and shipping customer orders. If you like a fast-paced, physical position that gets you up and moving, then come help bring orders to our customers. You will work 15-30 hours per week on shifts that range between 4 and 8 hours.

- Answer phones and respond to customer requests.
- Transfer customer calls to appropriate staff.
- Recognize, document and alert the supervisor of trends in customer calls and issues and discrepancies with orders and inventory.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Pull and pack online orders for fulfillment
- Process and Ship - print shipping labels, choosing best cheapest/route UPS, USPS, FedEx
- Receive and check-in suppliers and vendors shipments of restock products and inventory replenishment.
- Other duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

- Basic reading, writing, arithmetic and computer skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent. A College Degree is a PLUS.
- Must be computer literate and familiar with basic inventory and customer database and spread sheet programs and basic shipping software.
- Computer literate with the ability to learn customer service, inventory and shipping software applications.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in picking online orders, packing orders, fulfilling orders is a PLUS.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in receiving and checking in suppliers and vendors shipments is a PLUS.
- Experience with Hobby, Toy, Craft and Gift products is a PLUS.
- Experience with "Click & Mortar" retail business, cashier, face-to-face customer interaction and product suggestion is a PLUS.
- Must be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs and climb stairs.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and speak English.

This is a part-time position, day-shift, with holiday and seasonal spikes in required work hours (hours per day / days per week / possible Saturdays). Potential opportunity for growth.
