I’m sharing this from another small business owner that I support… pretty much sums it up some days. When you’re passionate about something… it’s all worth it.

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a business.

Running a business is really hard.

What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.

People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.

Friends and family will expect discounts and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.

You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.

Starting up and running a successful business puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work-life balance.

You need to be the director, the worker, the admin, the marketing team, the accountant, the cleaner..... All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...

There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in small businesses after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed.

It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.

Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives.

Be kind, be patient, support small businesses…….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

And know that 2022 prices are not 2023 prices

I shut my messenger off for few weeks now. As I took time and needed to spend time with my FAMILY. To stay in the present moment and learn. I'm still learning. I will be turning messengers back on soon. Thanks for understanding me taking time away from me :) I'm back on :)

I am going to slowly get back to work next week. The week of March 6th. I am not taking any new clients on as I have catching up to do with my regulars. Please be patient with me as this will be a trial week getting back to work. If I decide to cancel, it just means I rushed to quickly back to work. I'm doing the best I can and it will be what it should. Thank you to all those who have reached out to me, sending prayers, positive vibes, etc. I'm beyond blessed. Update: clients I am still away seeing drs. Prayers and positive vibes would be muchly appreciated. I am canceling this weeks apts, the week of February 27th and I am hoping to get back the following week but slowly. I will contact each of you individually for rescheduling purposes. As of now, I need some much needed rest/healing. Thanks for your cooperation. I'm staying positive that I will be back better than I was before!

Apts are still cancelled until I get better. I will let you know when I come back to work. I'm sorry for the inconvenience but I need to get better first!

This is the hardest thing for me is to step away from my clients. I know I need to focus on my health first, but this has been by far the hardest for me. I'm just gonna put my trust in the universe and let my path unfold. Continuing to work on my health... thanks for the messages and positivity. I will get through this! 💪

Thank you for all the prayers and messages. I am strong and will get through this. I am healing and getting better. I just need to step back for a bit and take care of my body, mind, and soul. I'm sorry for the cancelations and understand if you need to go elsewhere, but I need this week to get back strong and improve my health. Thanks again.
