Kenz wanted to play ball yesterday so that’s exactly what we did. We went into this tournament with only one goal: surround her with love. We wore purple ribbons and glitter with stars in honor of Lawanna. There were no expectations. There was no pressure. We let them play ball. We let them be kids. She was surrounded by her friends and ball family, and walked away with some new bling to add to her collection. She is a Superstar.

Today we suffered a huge loss in the passing of one of our family. Lawanna was hard working, creative, devoted, funny, always late but right on time, and she went hard for her kids. She will be deeply missed. Please pray for her family and friends, but specifically for her husband and children, as they learn how to navigate this world without her. Until we meet again…

After 16.5 hours spent between two parks, rain delays, field delays, and the largest/unanticipated game break we’ve ever experienced (TEN HOURS 😳)…they walked away early this morning with some new bling. They were wet. They were dirty. They were tired. They finished the job.

New Season Evaluation Tournament ✅
The girls started out dull in pool play. They tied their first game and lost their second by one run, both low scoring games but it landed them in the bronze bracket. The day wasn’t a loss though. We had several 🚀 that would’ve been homeruns on a different field, had pitchers work themselves out of a few tough spots, saw different levels of competition, and made a few mistakes to take back to practice to work through.
This season is about growth, love of the game, and letting kids be kids.
