Did you know you can use UPP to clean your carpets? It works GREAT!!

Used a tablespoon of UPP, a capful of odour eliminator (because we have 2 stinky older dogs) in the carpet cleaner.

Check out the last picture of what the water reservoir looked like when I was done 😳. Yikes!!

I love that these products are so versatile and I no longer have to buy that expensive (and toxic) carpet cleaning solution. Now my carpet is clean and smells fresh!

Clean 15 are in order beginning with items with the least amount of pesticide residue. While you should always aim for organic, these are better choices when organic isn't available.

Do you currently use plastic shower curtains or plastic shower curtain liners? Plastic shower curtains made with Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) are very toxic to your and your family's health. You may have noticed a strong smell when you opened a new vinyl shower curtain or had a vinyl shower curtain in your hotel room. I've definitely had this happen many times! How did I never once give it ANY thought?

ℹ A study showed PVC shower curtains release as many as 108 volatile organic compounds (VOCs)! Some of these VOCs cause developmental damage as well as damage to the liver and central nervous, respiratory and reproductive systems. 🤯😐

ℹ In addition to VOCs, the shower curtains were also found to contain phthalates and metals. The study found some of these chemicals lingered in the air 28 days after a curtain was hung. 2️⃣8️⃣ DAYS! Clearly, this is a significant contributor to indoor air pollution that can be easily avoided.

👉 So now what? Your best bet is to look for shower curtains that are labeled vinyl-free or PVC-free or those made of organic cotton.

I'm adding this to my ditch and switch list! For now, mine are old and they are there. I continue to wash them in the washer (did you know you could do that!?) I won't buy another, though. I plan to use washable fabric shower curtain liners in all of our bathrooms, they are non-toxic, and they will save me money in the long run.🌱
