Happy Friday Folks! ⭐️ I’ve got a for you with a piece from about a year ago, and probably one of my top makeovers of all time as well! I stripped paint and veneer off this French Provincial and I’m so happy my client trusted me when I said “Let’s add cane to the sides!!” 😃
A little vintage suitcase for a plant stand is just perfect! 🧳🖤🪴

Transformation alert! It’s so fun to take a dated piece and give it a new life! Swipe to see that before and the base I had to build. I was so excited to use these little feet I had found at a thrift store years ago. This is Coal by with Wax Finish Varnish on top and a fun peel and stick wallpaper on the back by 🌱🖤 I used my fan and square brushes by for this flawless finish. This custom piece made it home this weekend, on to the next!😄
Just a little sneak peek 😉 Can you believe this was just a hutch top a few months ago??
This beauty!! I just love her! But I can’t keep them all! 😩 I think it just gives such a great warmth and texture to a room. Be sure to come out to Alameda Antiques Faire on 10/3 to see this one in person. Oh yeah, she’s available. 😉

Happy Friday! Don’t mind me while I admire this gorgeous color, Palm Leaf by 💚 The wood handles on this piece are so amazing and look so good against that green background. Available soon.
Green + raw wood = 👌 I’m so in love with the new look on this beautifully unique buffet! The details on this one are just so interesting and I wanted to highlight that as best I could. This gorgeous green is Palm Leaf by 🍃 I also used Ginger Tea to do a wash on the wood, followed by Luxe Tones in Pickled. That’s the secret formula to my raw wood look, in case you missed my last Reel! 😉Thanks so much to The Chippy Barn for running this awesome Small Business Summer Campaign and for supporting artists like me out there in this community everyday!! 😄

Is your furniture Sittin’ Pretty?
Thank you so much for stopping by to learn more about Sittin’ Pretty by Deanne! I am truly grateful you are here. :)
My love of furniture refinishing came to be from decorating my family’s first home. Finding quality furniture within budget was proving difficult so I started experimenting with painting hand-me-down pieces from family. I was amazed at the transformation and how that piece could now inflect so much style to our home. The house was quickly “finished” and I was left with wanting to do more of this fun new hobby I had discovered! I say “finished” because my house now has all the furniture we need but I always have a new project (or three!) in the works to improve or change a room.
There is nothing better than putting in lots of time, energy and love to refinish a piece of furniture than when I get to see a customer connect with the piece and want to bring it into their own home...truly honored, thank you!
Take some time to peruse my Shop, Photo Albums for inspiration and Instagram (where I started this journey) and enjoy. Feel free to contact me if you think a furniture makeover is in your future, I’d love to chat about how to customize it, make it your own and love it all over again!
