I'm making King Cakes on Friday for pickup on Saturday a.m.. They keep for about a week at room temperature, or you can freeze and defrost! Mine is extra moist and flavorful because I've double-stuffed it with both a Cinnamon Filling as well as a Cream Cheese filling. I hand-make the festive Mardi Gras sugars on top, and almonds are optional. The mask is not included, but a plastic "baby" (or else a whole almond) is! Cake measures approx. 8 1/2" in diameter.

If you haven’t tried Shri Ganesh off Ridgeline - run, don’t walk to this amazing Indian restaurant! This was the most authentic, flavorful food I’ve had since I was in India! The owners were also friendly, accommodating and gave wonderful suggestions. We tried the coffee, dal, bindi masala, chicken tikka masala, and my fave- the chili chicken. 5 ⭐️

Seeing restaurants and restaurant workers struggle is heartbreaking. 💔
Last night I completely broke...... I’m very grateful to my wife who always stands in my corner and offers me unconditional love. I want to share with everyone my current reality and discuss the struggle that keeps tearing my soul apart. I’m not concerned about myself but more for the people who have trusted in me to provide for their families. I want to protect those people at all costs. Knowing what they’re personally going through is what keeps me motivated to press on everyday. As some are dealing with grief others are fighting deadly diseases and life hasn’t stopped because of this pandemic. There’s a constant fear that they will not be able to pay their bills and honestly our businesses are in the same boat. We’re barely surviving and I’m watching the industry I love slowly die. Everyday I’m coming up with innovative ways to protect what I’ve worked so hard to build but I feel like I’m still losing this battle. Many have already made the decision to close their doors forever but I cannot fathom that just yet. It’s surreal to think that the possibility of losing my restaurants isn’t because of my own failures. I’m watchIng as the bills continue to pile up and our income dwindles. The harsh reality is how long can you stay conscious before you finally bleed out? I consider myself very creative and extremely resourceful but the energy it takes to manage all of these ideas is taxing. I’m so grateful for the support of my family, community, and team during these times. I get emotional every-time someone offers us assistance and try like hell to keep it together. As we continue cooking online, selling takeout food, and having faith I pray that there’s some type of relief on the horizon. It’s getting harder to believe that there’s any other option besides closing up for good and waiting it out. I’m not giving up but feel it’s necessary to share some real emotions as I’m sure many people can relate. Please support small businesses right now because I know I’m not the only one feeling the stress.
