03/04/2020

This entire Congressional campaign was about my desire to serve the citizens of District 1, the people of Arizona, and the country as a whole. Service is in my blood and it’s what drives me from day-to-day. I was elected to be the Mayor of Williams and I have proudly held that job for the past 12 years—and it ain’t over yet. With the coronavirus gaining strength throughout the nation, especially right here in Coconino County, and with a major Interstate in our front yard and the number one tourist attraction in the world just a few miles north of us, even though it’s temporarily closed, Williams literally finds itself in the crossroads of this Pandemic, not to mention the needs and challenges that our local residents are facing. Given the attention that running a Congressional campaign requires, I believe my current constituents deserve to have a Mayor who is not distracted by a campaign and is devoting his full attention to their needs during this emergency. Therefore, I am suspending my Congressional campaign for Arizona District 1. Thank you to all who supported my bid these past few months.
Sincerely,
John W. Moore

My heart is heavy today. Please take a moment of silence today and then lift your prayers up for Commander Carnicle's family and the other two officers recovering.

‪When a police officer is killed in the line of duty, it’s not just an agency that mourns the tragic loss, but an entire nation. ‬

‪Our prayers and deepest condolences are with the entire Phoenix Police Department and Commander Carnicle’s family. 💙🇺🇸 ‬

This is an equal access issue.
If you cannot learn about your candidate options because of , then you are being denied the chance to make the most informed choices.

Campaigns cannot occur in person. Volunteers cannot safely go around and get signatures. Just switch to Facebook ads? NO. What if you do not have internet? And what if you are understandably skeptical of ads?

This has been especially difficult for folks like myself who have to protect their health and safety (yes, I'm in an "older" category), and I want to actively PROTECT the health and safety of my fellow Arizonans.

I want to be a choice for you, my fellow Republicans, on the 2020 primary ballot. You deserve to have that option, but you may not get that option because there has not been movement from Secretary Katie Hobbs to push back that deadline.

The image below is screenshots from Secretary Katie Hobbs website, and then with my added question outlined in a red box.

American Sheriff Mark Lamb & I both have our great state's best interests at heart, and we both understand what our people truly need.

If we don't get enough signatures, that means our great district will be represented by someone who is out of touch. Tom O’Halleran, it's time you move over so we can get MOORE done for Arizona.

Your Digital Signature Adds Moore to the Ballot 27/03/2020

I believe in serving Arizona and my constituents.
Whenever I make decisions in the public sector, and in my personal life, too, I always apply three tests: is it moral, is it legal, and is it ethical. If something passes those tests, we can move forward.

Last week, I met with several senior citizens in Page, Arizona. The biggest concern is the cost of prescription drugs, and the lack of adequate housing. They basically said that our elected officials should quit the silliness and get back to work. I agree.
