For those that might be wondering about what passions I’m moving on to, although I have been riding for a few years now (rode as a kid as well), I got to welcome my very own horse to our family. This is Andante, aka “Andi”

She’s a lovely tempered nine year old Andalusian that I am adoring and have learned so much from and will continue to learn.
My amazing hubby has also started taking riding lessons and supports me in this passion.

I have other things on the horizon as well. Unfortunately I haven’t felt the passion needed for painting nor does my body do well contorted and on the floor. I have spent the last year working hard to get my body back and am continuing to do so to feel better.

Just a huge thank you to my supporters who have followed me along this journey. The Kate&Barrel page will remain up, not sure about the website, however, my YouTube channel will still be there along with instagram and Pinterest.

I have been absent in my posts and my life has transitioned into other priorities. It’s been a few months since I have picked up a brush and while I am so torn about doing this, I know it’s time.

I will be closing down Kate&Barrel Designs this year. I have decided I will still take on custom work of customer owned pieces, however, I will no longer be selling paint, nor will I be painting my own spec pieces and listing them for sale.

With that being said, here’s some exciting news for those looking to snag some amazing quality paint and products at a huge discount! Please share as much as you can as I really need to clear this inventory out!
