Over the past 20 years, the drug overdose epidemic has resulted in over half a million deaths. Of the 52,404 drug overdose deaths in 2015, over 60% involved opioids. Overdoses increased by 11% between 2014 and 2015 largely due to synthetic opioids such as fentanyl. Click the article to read more.
