 Beetles have 3 cycles before becoming an adult. It starts as an egg, hatches into a larva. After feasting on the roots of your lawn the larva molts into a Pupa and then finally into an adult beetle. This process typically starts in mid-late summer and takes roughly 12 months to complete before starting over.
 White grubs are the larval stage of many insects and often live just below the surface in the topsoil. It’s not unusual for a single lawn to have hundreds of grubs, which eat the roots of turf grass and leave unsightly brown spots. As the populations grow, an entire lawn may be destroyed.
 Common encountered types of white grubs;
 June Bugs
 European Chafers
 Masked Chafers
 Billbugs
 Oriental Beetles
 Japanese Beetles

 There can be early signs that you may have a grub problem. Birds gathering throughout your lawn. You have random holes/divots throughout your lawn as animals such as raccoons, opossums and skunks will dig in areas where scents are very strong. The biggest indicator being brown/dead spots in areas where grub populations are high. If this is this case, you will be able to pull away large chucks of grass without any struggle.
 White grubs can also be a serious problem in gardens and flower beds.
 Just because you have grubs in your front yard does not mean you will get them anywhere else. Grubs need certain conditions to grow and thrive. Some microclimates promote growth, while others don’t. You can have multiple microclimates within your lawn.
How to reduce chances of an infestation
 Apply an insecticide that works as a “Preventive.”
 Make sure preventive is applied an early spring or in mid-late summer
 If Appling the product, make sure you are reading the label and applying products at the correct application rate as using more product won’t do any good and in fact is illegal to do so.
 After applying the product make sure to give your lawn a deep watering as you want the product to pe*****te your thatch and make contact your soil.

-Poa annua grass, also known as annual bluegrass, is an annual w**d that is commonly found in lawns. Annual bluegrass's in warmer climates like the southern U.S., do indeed perform as a typical winter annuals. These "annual" bluegrass's are classified as Poa annua In the northern part of the U.S. and much of Canada. These plants produce seeds in the spring and then continue to grow as perennials. It is rather difficult to control because the plant will produce several hundred seeds in one season, and the seeds can lay dormant for several years before sprouting.

-The identifying features of poa annua grass is a tall seed stalk that will stand up above the rest of the lawn. One problem with Poa Annua is whether you let it grow or cut it short, the plant still produces seeds.

-Poa annua grass is typically a problem in the lawn because it dies back in hot weather, which can make unsightly brown spots in the lawn during summer. It also thrives during cool weather, when most lawn grasses are dying back, which means that it invades the lawn at opportune times.

- Poa annua grass germinates in the late fall or early spring

- Putting a pre-emergent down in the late fall may help prevent new growth of this undesirable grass

Interesting Facts;

-You can find this plant on many golf courses throughout the world.

-Poa Annua is the sweetest grass and preferred by many domesticated live stock species but this plant does not seem to fill these animals quite the same as hay does.

-This is the most complained about w**d among golf course superintendents, sports field managers, sod producers, and lawn-care professionals

-This plant is in flowering year around
