on Emirates was actually pretty good and very plentiful. It was the most food I have been served on a flight (longest flight I have taken as well).
The first dish you see is dinner. I had the choice of grilled chicken and mashed potatoes or (what I choose) vegetarian curry. The sides are coleslaw, bread and butter, crackers and cheese, and strawberry/rhubarb torte. The Jack and Ginger was included and was not an additional cost.
Not pictured here was snacks that were served between meals: vegetable and cheese panini, savory crackers, and fun size candy bar.
For breakfast I was served a cheese omelet with potatoes, beans, and mushrooms. Sides were fruit salad, yogurt, bread with butter and jam.
Is it weird that I already looked up the food for my flight home and got excited 🤣🤷🏼♀️.
Gotta love Emirates. I almost had the row to myself, but they moved people around. I still got lucky and no one is in the middle seat. This flight is way more full then I expected... but that's a good thing! Onward and upward!
I just want to share with all of you how important it us to follow the COVID requirements at the parks ( Disney, Universal, SeaWorld, etc.). They will kick you out for non-compliance. They do not care how much you spent and they will not refund it. Unfortunately this guy decided to skip the temperature check to get into Disney springs and when they tracked him down and asked him to comply he refused. Dude, you got caught, just work with them. 🙄
He said he spent $15,000 on a Disney World trip. He refused a temperature check and got arrested. “You can’t trespass me if I paid $15,000,” Kelly Sills told deputies who arrested him.

Exploring is better with kids and dogs! Their sense of excitement just brings it to another level. If you turn up your volume you can hear my niece in the background "whoa!" 🥰. Who's your favorite adventure partner?
Another local hike called Rollercoaster loop trail. The Rollercoaster 🎢 trail was only part of the loop. It's named Rollercoaster because it goes up and down, back and forth. Looks like a popular mountain biking 🚵♀️ trail. It was supposed to be an easy hike as we "recovered" from the 5 mile hike the day before. It was "easy " but 3 miles of up and down (as small as it was) felt tough. Kona (puppy in pic 2) loved it!
Western mass is so beautiful and has such great hidden treasures. Get out there and enjoy them!
Cool train drive-by experience while on my hike today. The train was so long the full video is over 4 min. This was at the peak of our hike and the end of the Keystone Bridges trail. It's a 5 mi hike out and back with Keystone arches along the trail. We walked across the top and hiked to the bottom of each. I'll post photos of the arches next.
When the mini golf place on vacation looks like a 5 ⭐ resort.
I found an old car in the woods. I actually found a whole bunch! Near one of our hiking spots we found a "classic car graveyard". I'm glad this photo came out well because I crawled through a spider web 🕷 🕸 and thought I was gonna sit on a snake for it. What is something cool you have found while hiking in the woods?!
What would you choose? I've been living #6 lately, but I'm ready for #1 or #4!
10 things that hotels are doing during Covid19 (At least at the 3 hotels I visited - all Hilton brand) 1. When you walk in the front door there is a table with sanitizer, masks, and gloves available for free. 2. There are markers to social distance (6feet) at check in desk. 3. Only 2 people or 1 family are suggested on the elevators at a time. 4. Some amenities such as indoor waterslides are by appointment only. Here we had to sign up the morning of and they only allowed 2 families or 10 people which ever was less. 5. They removed items in the rooms such as extra toiletries and instead you just needed to ask the front desk for them. 6. We had to sign a waiver that we were tested negative for Covid or had quarantined for 14 days. 7. Masks had to be worn in all public areas of the hotel. 8. The breakfast area was shut down (no gathering at the tables). 9. Breakfast was individually wrapped items in a brown bag (muffin, granola bar, fruit and water. 10. They had coffee but instead of self serve the front desk would make it for you. Let me know if you have any questions!

We spent the last 2 days hiking Amethyst Brook. I never realized how many trails were back there because growing up we would just hike until we were lost and found our way back again. Jared has hiked trails I haven't and vice versa. Yesterday we hiked one of his favorites and today we found a new one. These photos are of the trail we followed yesterday. We aimed to make it to Mt Orient but ran out of steam and water before the top. These are some photos of that adventure. @ Amethyst Brook
Walking around downtown mystic on a Monday night. It's definitely quiet for a summer evening but also really special. People are going out to dinner, eating ice cream, and enjoying the summer sunset. Most people were wearing masks, even outside, but some that were not. The bridge had one way signs on each side to help promote social distance. Unfortunately, many people didn't notice the signs. It was a good attempt for the town of Mystic.
Happy 4th of July from my family to yours🇺🇸🌞!
