now that the dust has settled a bit I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has supported ‘When No Birds Sang’. There’s a good interview with Dylan and myself on today that explains a lot of the details surrounding the creation of this release and of course, a lot that was purposely left out. we spent roughly two years on this project, intricately crafting micro details upon micro details both in the art and visuals surrounding the release, as well as the music. every human involved was an invaluable irreplaceable cog in a complex system of spinning gears. By the time it was ready to be heard/seen I had already forgot it was meant for the public, kind of a rare feeling for me not concerning myself with how something will be perceived past the walls of the room, with the people I’m creating it with. But it’s been freeing in that way. It’s been well received by not only press(which is always surprising), but especially by both bands listener groups. It’s comforting knowing that you give us both space to create things that aren’t directly catered to you and manage to digest it whether it sticks or not. It’s really kind so thank you all. Anyway many thanks to for pristine production and being the ultimate balancer, for dealing with my non stop barrage of absurdities and crafting visions I have to be better than I could ever imagine, for the perfect films to accompany the release and always raising the ceiling of anything im punishing you all with ( go follow and thank me later), and for getting me off the couch, out of the house, and always supporting me being me, and of course and for being my girls for life. Love you all. Sorry for the long winded caption, I’m sure the haters and losers out there calling this a Grammy speech or whatever but I’m just standing on my biz. But yeah let us get a Grammy too until then I’m going to back to bed. 🕊️

I have a lot of things I want to say but I’ll try and keep it short. Getting this thing together has been pretty difficult. Aside from the self loathing/self doubt, the many intricacies and details of doing this the correct way nearly sent me into a mental hospital. I always wanted to create a place where this genre and its subs could live under one roof, generationally. Didn’t have a lot of support when we started this thing in 2010, mainly got looked at like weirdos for a few years before things started to take shape and besides a few great bands that were trudging away with us, there weren’t many playing the type of music we were playing. We never really had a home until we broke in and made our own. There’s a current resurgence of amazing, young bands playing now, and it seemed like the time to try and do what wasn’t available to us then and house this type of event where we could showcase the artists spanning across decades that shaped and are shaping the genre. Hopefully we can continue to do this and create a space for everyone for years to come. Expect the unexpected for the 10 year Guilty Of Everything set and don’t expect us to ever do anything like it again. I appreciate everything everyone has done for us and this band. Thank you for allowing us to exist.
