I can't take him to the beach for a walk because it annoys you and disturbs the vacation... I have no right to rent a house if I have a dog, nor can I take him on public transportation.
However, I can take it to the rubble to find you after an earthquake, in the woods after you got lost in the mountains and had no map or gps; under the snow because you took a detour forbidden off the track; in the water because despite the red flag you have entered the sea, and your life is in danger!
And finally ...
He is just a dog, but he or she will find you. And it will save you!!!

I love Basset Hounds. Big dog, no legs, big heart. Mine was named Sailor. He never ceased to amaze me and I simply adored him. One would never think of these dogs as "protectors" but, I can tell you from experience, if need be, don't mess with the Basset Hound!

Dog Food Recall Update - Stella and Chewy’s of Oak Creek, Wisconsin, has now confirmed it is voluntarily recalling a number of both frozen and freeze-dried products due to possible exposure to other foods contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes bacteria. Listeria is not only dangerous to dogs, it can be deadly to small children, the elderly and those with autoimmune disorders.
