In the hustle to get things done we often miss out on the little miracles of everyday life. What are some of the things you do to slow down the pace in your life? Would love to hear your ideas!

Greetings on this cold February morning.

Tonight we start our February theme - the Left aspect of the Heart Chakra.

We’ve had some amazing meditations this past January on our theme of The Spirit, culminating into a spontaneous journey into its power of giving us adaptation and evolution.

It can only get better in your presence and power.

Hope you’re able to brave the single digits and join in tonight’s meditation meeting at 6:30p at WCC Business Ed Building Room BE 158. There’s plenty space so bring friends and spread the word. Http://Meetup.MeditateWith.Us

Stay warm and commute safe!

Dear mediators,

Let’s make 2018 a great year with clarity, focus, progress, and joy for you!

We kick off our weekly meditation meetups next week at WCC. Meetup.com will ask for RSVP as usual.

The year begins with the winter solstice behind us and the days becoming longer. With this subtle increase comes the opportunity for renewing ourselves for our old battles, within and outside.

Resolutions are passé and what matters is what we can deliver consistently through the months ahead. At the heart of great service to our selves and others is clarity on our own identity. Who are you? What is the purpose? How do you see yourselves remembered? Is your purpose great enough?

Our meditation meetups in January will be inspired by these questions and I hope to renew the commitment to this journey of the Spirit with you in 2018.

Tomorrow, Thursday 9/21, will be the finale of the first topic of the fall season: Innocence. Hope to see you there (RSVP here: http://meetup.meditatewith.us)

Innocence is an overarching analect. It delivers all other principles, if understood and made actionable. Innocence in our transactions with others and ourselves is key to spiritual success. Without it, the inner life is turmoil, confusion, and obstacles.Top down, innocence starts with forgiving and letting go, being clear in vision & voice, using love as a driver of existence, seeking a better way but being patient & content, learning & creativity, and keeping spiritual hygiene.

Innocence is 'ON' by default in children. Enlightened souls carry it forward into adulthood, and evolve it throughout their lives.

Happy Diwali, Michigan

Diwali, the festival of lights links back to our innate generosity, and prosperity.

While we are out of the 2008 hole and climbing out, 8 years on now, we see new housing developments and commercial construction activity. These show the confidence of the investors in growing commerce around the SE Michigan region. Is the growth translating into peace of mind for Michiganders? Do they feel better about their future? The future of their children?

Prosperity has many dimensions. The top ten dimensions of prosperity, per aspects of Goddess Lakshmi, the personification of prosperity. What could be the best indicators of how a region may be doing in these dimensions?

Adya Lakshmi - The primordial feminine principle - how are we treating our women and girls?

Vidya Lakshmi - Educational prosperity - Are toddlers ready for school? What are graduation rates: HS? 2 yr college? 4 year college? Student loan debt?

Santan Lakshmi - Maternal / Child related prospetiry - Mortality rates pre-natal, natal, post-partum? Other? Teen pregnancy etc.?

Yoga Lakshmi - Enlightenment prosperity - Trends in people's belief in a higher power, other?

Rajya Lakshmi - Economic prosperity - Jobs: minimum wage, above minimum wage, savings?

Bhogya Lakshmi - Consumer confidence / consumption - spending, personal debt?

Gruha Lakshmi - Household peace and prosperity - Domestic abuse, foster care, single mothers?

Saubhagya Lakshmi - Marital prosperity - Divorce rates, girl-child welness indicators

Amruta Lakshmi - Quality of nutrition and environment - Access to good food, clean water/air, etc., Other?

Mahalakshmi - Evolution and adaptibility - Are attitudes changing for the better or worse? e.g. Trust in evolution, science etc.

Apart from the indicators, it is worth being aware of the organizations and people who work hard to turn the curve on these aspects of broad prosperity.

What is the history of these aspects in the region? What has been tried before and worked well? What are the experiments (social, political, technological) in progress?

Look forward to your thoughts
