A special spotlight on Albemarle at the ElectriCities of NC annual conference. Albemarle Public Utilities Director, Jay Voyles, was asked to speak on a panel about Strategic Planning. He shared how the City of Albemarle's Strategic Plan is making a positive difference in our City.
Voyles explained the electric division's work touches several goals of the City’s Strategic Plan. For example, they’re meeting the goal of Investing in Infrastructure by utilizing new technology, such as advanced meter infrastructure (AMI). The electric division’s work also meets the City’s Strategic Plan Goals of Organizational Capacity and Community and Economic Growth. Examples of alignment with these goals include investment in the City’s workforce and contributions to projects such as Courthouse Plaza and the Albemarle Business Center.
