Tax forms are starting to trickle in the mail
W2s, 1099s, mortgage statements etc
here is what to do ⬇️
-Check your mailbox daily & open your mail✅
-Get a filing folder (dollar tree & staples for under $5), name it 2022 taxes, and keep your original copies in there. ✅
-Verify if the amounts are correct ✅
-Create an online folder on your computer and scan those documents to send to upload to the portal ( if you already have one, new clients contact me to get started!) ✅
Easy steps but trust me this can save you so much time and headaches when you’re ready to file.
Once your bookkeeping is up to date it should only take an average of 15 minutes a month. Tip schedule time on your books to take care of it once a month.
