We've been gone from Rocky Point for almost a year and we miss it. Our newest restaurant located in Black Canyon City will hopefully open .This will be a true "Western Experience " with outdoor dining BBQ, Fried Chicken and "serious tacos." Check out our Mesquite Wood Flat page.

Most of my friends know that back in 2014 Maria Martin Chilleen and I along with some partners opened The Satisfied Frog in Rocky Point. When I put up the original sign prior to opening, people who knew of our 27 year run in Cave Creek, started stopping by. I knew we'd be successful and we were for 7 years.........until the dreaded virus hit and the whole world changed. Our lease was due for renewal in October and under normal circumstances we would have renewed but not this time. Our managing partners have decided to go another direction and I don't blame them. So as of this Sunday The Satisfied Frog Rocky Point will closed!Maria and I still own the Mexican trademark for the name. Someone might be interested in using it to open in a different location in Rocky Point after this mess is all over. When a brand is popular the saying is " it has legs" we think" The Frog has legs"

Blessed...so very blessed is how we feel today. We are blown away by all the orders, donations and well wishes.

Our Story
The Satisfied Frog in Rocky Point fell victim to the closing of Rocky Point due to the corona virus and closed on May 31st. The creators of the the Restaurant Maria and Ed Chilleen, who own the Mexican Trademark, are considering all options to open again in a new location in Puerto Peñasco.
From Iconic Historic Destination Restaurant in Cave Creek, AZ to the hottest destination in Rocky Point Mexico, Crazy Ed's Satisfied Frog is a must visit stop for thousands of tourists and locals. A classic "Ex-Pat" American home away from home, The Satisfied Frog features classic "Gr**go" favorite dishes along with specialty locally inspired Mexican dishes and Seafood. House Specialties include Southern Fried Chicken, The Best BBQ any side of the Boarder, and Unique Wood Fired Pizzas like our Tequila Shrimp Loco Pizza and Walters Brats Pizza. Our "Killer Margaritas" are known by the locals and visitors as the best in town. Order a Rocky Point Ice Tea and get "Hammered-n-Nailed" with a 32oz Six Liquor Concoction Served in a Mason Jar with a lid that you sign your name to and nail to our wall.
