This is our first year growing poppies, and while we are still learning, we are so excited to welcome guests out to enjoy the fields in just a few weeks. 🛍 SPRING MARKET: SUNDAY, MARCH 24TH: 10-3PM | PLAN YOUR VISIT...Sunday's weather is the perfect day for our first Spring Fling Outdoor Market of the season, and we can't wait to welcome 50+ vendors out to enjoy! We have tons of fun for the whole family planned, so bring your friends and family out for a beautiful spring day and support our local vendors. Check out a few reminders below before visiting. We hope to see you there:

🛍 Gates open at 10am to shoppers.

👕 50+ vendors will be set up with everything from jewelry, home decor, body products, baked goods, pottery, clothes, handmade items, and so much more!

🐰 The Easter Bunny will be hopping around the grounds from 11-1pm for visits and photos.

🍎 Granny's Goodies is open from 10-3pm with hot and fresh apple cider donuts, hot cider, floats, slushies & ice cream.

🥪 We will have sandwiches from Black Lantern for purchase in Granny's Goodies & The Apple Barn: Chicken Salad Crossiant, Turkey Club Wrap & Ham & Cheese on Pretzel Bread

🧺We have picnic areas around our pond and under the pines, so pack a picnic or purchase lunch on-site and enjoy the day!

🎣 Make it an adventure and pack your fishing gear. Check-in inside the Apple Barn for fishing.

💰 Please remember to bring cash as some of our vendor do not accept cards.

🚘 Please be patient with parking, crowds, and lines as we expect to have many guests on site.

We have a couple quick announcements that will be shared throughout this week! Easter Sunday the lake will close in observance of the Lord Jesus Christ's resurrection. We will open on Monday, April 1st and will follow normal operating hours on Wednesday! We are proud to announce on Saturdays, Ramseur is opening to the public "Market at the Lake!" Vendors of produce, eggs, crafters, etc. and food trucks are welcome to join in! Yard sale tables are not considered as acceptable vendors for the event. Check in at the main entrance of the lake with the Lake Wardens. $10 fee per vendor, everything needed to set up and sell is the vendors responsibility. We're also looking into having local talent set up on stage at the lake. Anyone interested, let us know! Let me know, Joy @ [email protected]

NC Department of Labor's Annual Safety Awards Applications Now Available!

The Safety Awards Banquet sponsored by the City of Asheboro and Randolph County will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 12 noon at AVS Banquet Centre, Asheboro NC.

The N.C. Department of Labor Safety Award Program recognizes private and public firms throughout the state that achieve and maintain good safety records. They are now accepting applications. Please go to their website (link below) to complete the 2023 Safety Award Application.

The deadline to submit applications is Thursday, February 15, 2024.

The program is designed to stimulate interest in accident prevention and to promote safety in the workplace by providing an incentive to employers and employees to maintain a safe and healthful workplace.

One of our most satisfying Civitan projects is to support EC classes at Ramseur, Coleridge, SERMS, and ERSHS. We buy each student and teachers a gift, help with Christmas school party, and needed supplies for the class. We also help students with needs such as shoes, coats, etc.
