Conclusion

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
2 Corinthians 2:14

Always refers to at all times, always. Causeth us to triumph refers to make an acclamatory procession, to conquer, to give victory, and cause to triumph over. Maketh manifest refers to appear, manifestly declare, make manifest. Savour refers to fragrance, odor, and savor. Knowledge means knowing the act, knowledge, science. Every refers to always, as many as, whatsoever, whole. Place refers to a spot, location, condition, opportunity, coast.

God always gives us victory and manifestly declares the aroma of his knowing the act by us in all locations.

God always causes us to triumph over all our enemies. We bring into existence the sweet fragrance of God’s knowledge everywhere we go. When people see our victory, they will want to know how we got it. Keeping us safe and protected is considerable testimony for God. Remember that victory means a final and complete defeat of the enemy in a military engagement or any successful struggle against an opponent or obstacle.

And the God of peace shall bruise satan under your feet shortly……….
Romans 16:20

God will crush satan completely under our feet quickly. God promised us success. We have the victory. We need to take the Word of God and put it to use in our lives. “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge….” Hosea 2:6. Christians all over the world are getting in car accidents, robbed, violently attacked, and enveloped by disease. Why is this happening? God said because we lack the knowledge on how to stay victorious. This is so needless.

Is it easy? NO, it is not. Was it easy for me? No, it was not. But I ask you, what is the alternative? Keep speaking negative? Or start speaking God’s Word. Do you want to move forward or go backwards? Just take one day at a time. Get through a day, then the next, then the next.
I had a friend who had to go to the ER to get his hand stitched up from putting a drill through his hand. How did that happen? His response was, “because I did something stupid.” He was holding the object in his hand while drilling. God expects us to use our common sense too. Like driving over the speed limit. I had a pastor that asked a question. If a person drives over the speed limit does that person’s angels fall off? It is funny but he made a point. Does that not go against God’s Word? No, of course not. Speaking God’s Word will help you not make bad decisions like that. Now we will have to keep battling our flesh when it wants to go against God’s Word. But that is another lesson altogether.

What about the death of my sister and my niece and nephew? I do not know what is in their hearts. I can only be responsible for what is in my heart. I can share with people what God has shown me. What people do with what they have been taught is up to them.

So, do we want God’s protection in our lives? God made a covenant with us that we would be protected. We took Psalms 91 and broke it apart in the original Hebrew to receive the true meaning of that chapter. We can see how much God wants us protected. All we have to do is believe His Word. If we only half believe His Word or be double-minded about His Word, we will never be successful. God wants us to trust Him. That is why He wants us to take His Word and believe in Him. So, let us be hard-nosed. Take God’s Word and be obstinate. Do not compromise. Believe God’s Word above all else.

Chapter 7

Did you notice that all verses say, “will, shall, and is”. God’s Word is spoken in future tense or present tense (if you remember your English lessons). God is saying we have that promise now. Not yesterday, but today, if we will believe Him.

We must not doubt. “Easier said than done,” you say. Even Jesus said, “O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? Matthew 14:31. Doubt in this verse means to waver in opinion. Peter believed that he could walk on the water to Jesus, but when he saw the wind he let fear take over and he began to sink. Instead of keeping his eyes on Jesus, he saw the circumstances and let the enemy in. We must keep our eyes on God’s Word and not look to the circumstances. To Jesus, doubting was not an option. God’s Word was and still is truth. “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever” Hebrews 13:8.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Matthew 21:21

Faith in this verse means persuasion that is credence (acceptance as true), assurance, and belief. Doubt means to separate thoroughly, to withdraw from, and hesitate. Doubt is also saying the wrong things or not saying anything. Doubt can get you to not speak anything. Staying silent. We will not win if we do not speak the Word of God. If we believe God, we accept what He says is true and do not hesitate, but separate thoroughly from unbelief; we have what God’s Word says we can have.

And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
Mark 9:24

Believe means to have faith in a person, put your trust in Christ. Unbelief means disbelief, unfaithfulness (disobedience). The father, in this verse, trusted Jesus, but he needed assistance in his time of distress to rid himself of disbelief.

How many times did God say to Abraham that he would have a child of his own? In Genesis 15:5, God said that his descendants would be as numerous as the stars. But he decided to help God out by producing an heir by Sarah’s handmaid, which was not God’s perfect will. Again, in Genesis 17:4, God said he would be the father of many nations and again in Genesis 18:10. It took about 25 years before Abraham finally believed God and had Isaac in Genesis 21. Hopefully, we will not take that long to believe God’s Word.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:5

A casting down means demolish, pull, take down, and destroys. Imaginations means reasoning, conscience, conceit, and thought. We need to pull down by force thoughts, the distinction of right and wrong, an idea, the power to reason or imagine, and everything that would put itself above God’s Word. Make those thoughts obey God. Do not let those awful thoughts control you. You control the thoughts. Tell yourself, “I pull those thoughts down and I bring them into captivity to obey God.” Then start speaking the Word of God. Take these scriptures or any scriptures that apply to you and speak them out. You need to remind yourself and remind your mind the Word of God.

For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Isaiah 55:10-11

God promised that His Word would perform what He said. God said that His Word would effectively prosper in whatever that exists, whether it is an object, a creature, an idea or thought, an event, or a condition. Once His Word is spoken with faith, He said it would not return without doing what it was supposed to do.

When satan tried to put cancer on me, I had to decide who was going to win. The devil or me. I knew my rights as a child of God. God said I would be protected and have long life. I spoke the Word of God. I used a lot of these scriptures plus a few others. Reading the Bible aloud and saying the scriptures aloud every time fear or doubt would try to enter my mind helped keep me in control. I make it sound so easy, but it was not. But I also knew that I was not going to allow satan to win. God said that I was healed by His stripes. That is my right. God said that He would perform His Word. My husband and I spoke the Word of God together also. We never spoke anything negative. We only told people about my condition who would agree with us. We knew some relatives and friends who did not know the Word of God and would only speak negative things. We did not tell them. I did not need their negativity. I did not even tell my sister to whom I was very close. I could not take the chance of her speaking negative words against me. She was going through her own battle. That does sound a little harsh, but I needed positive people. Those I knew that would not speak against me with negative words and reactions. We spoke only the Word of God concerning my health.

After all the tests and surgery, there was not a trace of cancer. You say if I believed the Word of God why go through the tests and surgery? Why did I not just believe that God would heal me? That is what I did. God did heal me with His Word. The surgery and tests confirmed that God’s Word works. God uses doctors, too. Why do you suppose there are doctors? I believe in doctors. They help bring healing as well. Christians and non-believers need them. In fact, I had a Christian doctor who prayed with me and for me.

Chapter 6

11) For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.

Angels refers to a messenger of God. Charge refers to appoint, command, send a messenger, put in order. Keep refers to guard, protect, preserve, save, and watch. Ways refers to a course of life, conversation, journey, manner, through.

For God will give His angels, His messengers, command over us to protect us in our way of life, our journey, and conversation.

God also has His angels working on our behalf. He has commanded His angels to guard us no matter where we are. My husband and I had a home in a neighborhood that was not all that entirely safe. Many of people’s homes were broken into. One night, we had to be away. We prayed protection over our home and left. The next day, some kids came up to my husband and asked him when we got the two Dobermans. They had not seen them before. They confessed to us that they were going to break into our home and steal from us, but the dogs protected the house. The dogs would not let the kids near our home. We did not have any dogs, just a cat. God had sent his angels in the form of Dobermans to protect our house.

12) They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Bear refers to bring forth, carry, obtain, take up, and hold up. Up refers to from the top, forward, on high, over, up. Hands refers to foot, hand, middle, palm, power. Dash refers to beat, stub the toe, hurt, plague, slay, and stumble. Foot refers to be able to endure, follow, journey, leg, possession, time. Stone refers to diverse weight, mason, and hailstone.

The angels will carry us high over in their hands with power, so we will not stumble and will be able to endure to turn aside weight.

The angels will hold us up with their whole bodies if they have to in order to keep us from stumbling, or hurting ourselves with obstacles or circumstances. Lest in the dictionary means “for fear that.” They will carry us for fear that we will harm ourselves. Against in the dictionary means “so as to come into contact with.” For fear that we stumble or hurt ourselves over our journey of life so as to come into contact with a variety of forms of weights or burdens.

13) Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Tread refers to come, guide, lead forth, tread down, and walk. Upon refers to above, against, beside, through, among. Lion refers to roar, fierce lion (from his characteristic roar). Adder refers to twist, an asp. Young refers to a village (as covered in by walls), young lion. Dragon refers to a marine or land monster, sea serpent or jackal. Trample refers to tread upon, oppressor, stamp upon, trample under feet, tread down.

We will lead forth against anything that roars and twists: any village or animal we will trample under foot.

Twist means to entwine about something, to coil about something. We will go over or walk over anything that would try to entwine us. Does worry have you entwined or do unpaid bills feel like they are coiling around you? Anything that would rise up against us, we have the power to stamp that out. Any oppressor, whether it is worry, bills or even a government official that would try to put their ungodly ways over us, we have authority over. God even gave us authority over anything in the sea. Do you like to go fishing? Does it seem like you never get a bite? Well, God gave you authority over the fish, too.

14) Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.

Love refers to cling, to join, have a delight, desire. Deliver refers to slip out, escape, and carry away safe. High refers to safe, strong, defend, be safe, be too strong. Known refers to acknowledge, certainly, familiar friend, kinsfolk, have respect, understand. Name refers to by implying honor, authority, character.

Because we have a desire for the Lord, the Lord will carry us away safe; He will keep us safe and strong, because we have respect for the Lord with honor.

Because we have a personal relationship, and a real desire for the Lord, He will make a way of escape for us. “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it” 1 Corinthians 10:13. He will not permit us to be tested or examined above our might. He will defend us. He will keep us strong, because the Lord is our kinsfolk, our familiar friend and we honor Him. Remember that it is not the Lord who brings tests or temptation, only satan does.

15) He shall call upon me, and I will answer him I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honor him.

Call refers to cry, proclaim, publish, invite, mention. Answer refers to respond, pay attention to, testify, announce, speak, utter. With refers to accompanying, before, beside, more than. Trouble refers to adversary, adversity, affliction, anguish, distress, tribulation. Deliver refers to depart, strengthen, equip for a fight, armed man, prepared. Honor refers to glorify, promote, be rich, prevail.

We will invite the Lord and He will respond to us. The Lord will be beside us in affliction, or distress; and the Lord will strengthen us by equipping us for a fight and He will promote us.

Call, in this verse, means to proclaim publicly, or to request the presence. We are requesting the presence of God and He said that He would respond to us. The Lord will more than accompany us. He will arm us, equip us for a fight so that we will be fully prepared when the adversary comes for a fight and we will be victorious.

16) With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Long refers to forever, or length. Life refers to age, continually daily, to day, forever, old, process of time. Satisfy refers to fill to satisfaction, fill to the full, have plenty of. Shew refers to appear, approve, have experience, provide. Salvation refers to something saved, victory, prosperity, deliverance, health saving health.

More than length of age (the process of time), will the Lord fill to the full, and provide us with victory, prosperity, and health.

We will be filled to satisfaction, be full, with very long life and we will experience health, prosperity, and victory. All we have to do is believe God’s Word.

Chapter 5

6) Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Pestilence means plague, in the sense of destroying. Walketh means goes about, travels, enters. Darkness means dusk, private, obscurity. Destruction means to cut off, ruin, destroying. Wasteth means to swell up, to devastate waste. Noonday means a light, midday, window.

Nor in the sense of destroying that goes about in private, nor the ruin that comes to devastate during the day.

Looking up some of these words in the dictionary helps get a better picture of what they mean. Plague means affliction or calamity, any cause for annoyance; a highly infectious, usually fatal, epidemic disease, to harass, pesters, or annoy. Obscurity means out of sight, hidden. Devastate means to overwhelm. Waste means to weaken or become weak. Ruin means total destruction. Destroying means to tear down, ruin completely, to kill.
Sometimes people will fear that they will come down with cancer or have some other type of illness or disease. Sometimes they fear that something will happen to members of their family. Maybe they are afraid of what will happen with their jobs when reports are out there about lay-offs. This verse says we do not have to be afraid of these things.
There may even be co-workers that have something against you. These people who can be used by satan to try and destroy you. Or it could be possible someone who may be plotting against you behind your back. This verse even protects you from them also. People who plot against you because of jealousy, envy, etc., God said He would protect you from such people.

7) A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.

Thousand means, just that, a thousand. Fall means to cease, die, fail, fall away, throw down. Side means a side, an adversary, or beside. Ten thousand means abundance in number, many, million, or ten thousand. Right hand means right hand or side, or left handed. Come nigh means approach, bring forth, give place, overtake, near, present.

A thousand will fall away at our side. Ten thousand (abundance in number) will fall away at our side (does not matter on which side of us) but it shall not approach us.

God did not want to put a limit on our protection. It does not matter how many times the enemy will try to conspire against us he cannot hurt us. God did not just provide protection and a way out, so to speak, from the devil’s antics, but has provided protection from people, objects, diseases, etc. It shall not approach us, or over take us. The enemy has to fall at our side. He has no choice.

8) Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.

Only means except, nevertheless, but, surely. Eyes mean knowledge, outward appearance, sight, presence, regard. Behold means look intently at, to regard with pleasure, consider. See means approve, behold, joyfully, look one upon another. Reward means retribution, reward. Wicked means morally wrong, an actively bad person, condemned, guilty, wicked man, ungodly.

Surely, with our knowledge will we look intently at and joyfully look at the reward or the retribution that the wicked person or the guilty one will receive.

I want to jump for joy after seeing reading this. We have God’s truth in us. With the Word of God in us, we know that with His protection not anything that would try to come against us will stand a chance. Retribution means something given or demanded in repayment especially punishment. Reward means something given or received in recompense (awards made for damage or loss), we will see the reaping that the enemy will receive on himself if he tries to go against God’s people. “…for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” Galatians 6:7. If the enemy sows destruction, he will reap the destruction on himself.

9) Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;

Made means consider, look, order, place, reward, work. Refuge means shelter, trust, and hope. Most means an elevation, the Supreme, most high. Habitation means den, dwelling, dwelling place.

Because we have placed the Lord, which is our trust and hope, the Most High God, our dwelling place.

God put this verse in the middle of Psalm 91 to remind us that we can trust Him. God wanted to make sure that we place all our hope and trust in Him. And because we trust our Lord, the next verses apply to us as well.

10) There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.

No means never. Evil means calamity, adversity, affliction, harm, and mischief, misery, hurt. Befall means happen. Plague means wore, wound, and stroke. Come means bring near, come near, come nigh, be near, present. Dwelling means covering, dwelling place, home, tabernacle, tent.

There will never an evil, or calamity, affliction, harm, mischief, misery, hurt, happen to us. Neither will any plague, wound, stroke, come near, be near, our home or any place where we happen to be.

The Lord is assuring us again that no harm can come to us. He even promises that any kind of life-threatening disease, such as strokes, cannot hurt us or come near us. We are promised protection no matter where we are, in a car, on vacation, visiting people, at work, it does not matter where. Our homes and families are protected even if we are away from our residence. Even our cars, or any vehicle that we are in, are protected.

Chapter 4

Now let us do a little more studying about the protection of God. We will continue with a study of Psalm 91. “Oh, no! Not the scary Psalm!” Why do some people think that Psalm 91 is scary? Well, for one thing, that is what the devil wants you to believe. The devil does not want you to learn about the protection of God. So he tells you lies about the verse.

So, what does Psalm 91 really say? We will look up in the Hebrew the words of this chapter to get a better understanding of this scripture.

1) He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Dwelleth means abide, establish, inhabit, remain. Secret means a hiding place, a cover. Abide means continue, remain, tarry all night. Shadow means defense and shade.

He that remains in the private place of the Most High (God) shall remain or tarry all night under the shade of God. We stay with God, He will stay with us.

We need to be sure to establish ourselves in God’s presence. Be alone with God. We will not stray from God if we have a daily time with Him. When we do that, God will stay with us. He will not desert us. If something is happening that God needs us to be aware of, He will be able to tell us. We will become sensitive to His speaking at any time of the day.

2) I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

Refuge means shelter, hope, and trust. Fortress means a net, castle stronghold, strong place. Trust means to be bold, put confidence, make to hope, secure.

I will say of the Lord, he is my hope and my stronghold: my God; in Him will I be secure.

The Lord is our hope, our shelter. Someone we can trust and put our hope in. Someone who is strong and stable. We can put our confidence in the Lord. We can trust the Lord.

3) Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Surely refers to certainly and truly. Deliver refers to sn**ch away, defend, without fail, and rescue. Snare refers to a net, thin plate, and a metallic sheet. Fowler refers to entangled by a snare. Noisome refers to calamity, iniquity, mischief, and very wickedness. Pestilence refers to the sense of destroying and plague.

God will certainly sn**ch us away from a net that is spread out like a sheet, like a trap and from a calamity, a destroying plague.

God put a “surely” before this sentence. In other words, He is saying that this next statement is important and He wants us to pay attention to it.. The Lord “shall” rescue us. It does not say maybe, or in some other time. He said shall deliver us from calamity, iniquity, from any kind of mischief and even plague, something that is bent on trying to destroy us.

4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Cover means to defend, hedge in. Feathers mean feathers and wings. Wings mean a border, corner, uttermost part, and under a flap of a garment. Trust means to flee for protection, to confide in, have hope, and make refuge. Truth means stability, certainly, faithful, and true. Shield means a large shield and target. Buckler means something surrounding the person, a shield.

God will defend us with His covering, keep us under His garment and under this covering, we will find protection and hope. His stability and faithfulness will be our large shield something that is surrounding us to keep us safe.

If you cover something, you put a covering over an object. It surrounds the whole thing. Think of a large dome that covers you from head to toe completely surrounding or covering you. Then, His truth, His faithfulness, His words are the shield that holds that covering in place. We need to believe in His love, His words that he will keep us safe.

5) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day,

Afraid refers to fear, to frighten, dread, and put in fear. Terror refers to alarm, dread, fear, and great fear. Night refers to a twist away of the light, and adversity. Arrow refers to a wound, a thunderbolt of God, a piercer, and an archer. Flieth refers to faint from the darkness of swooning, flee away, and weary. Day refers to daily, and in the daytime.

We will not be put in fear or have a great fear of the adversity, nor of a piercer, a wound that causes us to be weary in the daytime.

We have no need to be afraid of the adversity. Sometimes satan will come in the night to put fear or worry on us. God is saying we need not fear, for He is will us. He has that covering. He is taking care of us both in the night and in the daytime. Anything that would try to harm us in the night or day, God is there to protect us. We might feel a little weary of the circumstances that come, but God is there to deliver us and to keep us from harm.

Chapter 3

What do I mean by having power or authority over something? “All power is given unto Me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18. Power, in this verse in the original Greek, means; authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, right, strength. So all God’s authority, jurisdiction, liberty, power, all of God was given to Jesus.

“Behold, I give YOU the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over ALL the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19. Power in the first part of this verse means the same as in Matthew 28:18. We have that power and authority. Jesus then turned around and gave that same authority and power to us.

How do we believe that this will work for us? How do we use that authority? By believing God’s Word. Either we have faith in what God said or we do not. God said that His Word would preserve us and make us prosperous. We need to begin to get into the Word of God and decide that we will be protected and prosperous. Unless we do something with that Word, get it inside of us, it will never do us any good.

Forever, O Lord, thy Word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth. They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.
Psalm 119:89-91

The Word of the Lord is settled in heaven. The Word of the Lord is servants. Every Word that we speak is servants to us. Do we make them work for the good or for the bad? If Jesus came up to us and said from now on anything that you say with your mouth will come to pass, what would we do? We would all of a sudden be careful about what we say. Well, Jesus has already said that to us. For all are thy servants. Words are our servants.

Now in order to get God’s protection to work for us, we must pray daily, read the Bible daily, study the Word, memorize the Word, and say the Word. In order to get this Word to work with us, we must be sure that we are saying the right things. What are you speaking about? “Will I have enough money to cover this bill this month? The flu season is here and I know I will get it. I have to be sure to keep everything locked up tight because you never know if a burglar might break into the house?” Christians who are defeated in life are defeated because they believe and confess the wrong things. Words are the most powerful thing in the universe.

For verify I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:23

We can have whatever we speak. God’s Word has power. He said we shall have whatsoever we say. What are we speaking about? What are the words that are coming out of our mouth? Are they words of lack, accidents, and ill health? Or are they words of joy, peace, health, prosperity? God said we could have what we say, but we are saying what we have.

We must see this Word inside us. We must agree with the Word. We say what the Word of God has to say, and God will back it up. He will not back up what we say, but He will back up what He says. Satan will back up the negative words. He does not have any trouble doing that. So, we need to keep saying the Word of God. We need to keep the Word of God on our lips.

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Proverbs 4:20

This does not mean occasionally glance at the Word, I’ll pick up the Bible once a day and read it. If we want the Word of God to work, say it throughout the day. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).

If I ask someone to tend to my cats for one day and came back the next and found that someone had not fed them, and all they said was yes, they looked in on them often that day, they did not attend to them. They just glanced at them. They did not feed them. They did not attend to them. We must attend to the Word of God, not just randomly look at the Bible.

Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
Proverbs 4:21-22

Let not the Word of God depart from our eyes; keep them in the midst of our heart. Because they are life to us. If we take prescription medicine every day, 3 or 4 times a day, because we are hurting, then take the Word of God 3 or 4 times a day. The more we say it and remind ourselves the more the Word of God is life to us.

God says in Jeremiah 1:12: I will hasten my word to perform it. He will watch over His Word to perform it.

In Psalm 138:2: thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name. For God to deny His Word, He would have to deny His name. God takes great stock in His Word. We can base our life on the Word of God.

And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.
Matthew 16:17

We can bind anything on earth and it will be bound in heaven. That includes the evil that would try to harm us. Words work for us. It can work for the good or the bad. Choose to speak the Word of God.

My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
Psalm 89:34

The Lord has made a covenant. His Word will not change. What He said is true. We must believe what He said. We cannot decide one day that God’s Word is true and we are going to follow it and then the next day decide that it isn’t for us. If God said He would do it, then He will do it. We have to choose whether or not we are going to believe Him.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
James 1:5-8

You say, ”I tried this. It only works for preachers like Kenneth Copeland.” The problem is you did not stick with it. If we decide, we will say the Word of God and nothing else. After a while, nothing seems to be happening, so we stop saying the Word of God and go back saying see it does not work. We are double-minded. We will not receive anything from the Lord if we keep going back and forth on believing God’s Word. Why not choose to believe God? Remain firm. Keep saying the Word of God. Don’t turn around and go back the other way. What is back that way but defeat?

“But I’ve said the Word lots of times and nothing happened.” Then we did not say it enough and/or in the back of our mind we still had some doubt. Be hard-nosed. Stay with the Word. Do not give up or give in. Tell yourself that you are going to believe the Word no matter what the circumstances look like.

And behold, there came a l***r and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Matthew 8:2-3

The l***r had some doubt. Jesus had to touch him first AND THEN say be clean. It was not until after Jesus SAID be clean that the l***r was healed.

And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, and had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse, when she heard of Jesus, came in the press behind and touched his garment: For she said If I may but touch his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the foundation of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague. And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
Mark 5:25-34

All this woman had to do was say; I will be whole if I touch him. She did not have to wait for Jesus to touch her. Her words and faith healed her. Jesus confirmed her words by saying, your faith made you whole.
