The wait is almost over. This coming Thursday the Kona Camera Club welcomes an hour with Lyman Medeiros an icon in Hawaii Radio and television. Please mark your calendars and join us as we learn about Lyman's career and life on Hawaii Island. Lyman will share his career as a photographer, videographer and story teller on radio and television in the early days of Hawaii's growing media market.

Join me as he shares his development as a story teller and producer to now co-owner of the islands NaLeo television station.

Kona Camera Club announces that Lyman Madeiros is our next Speaker:

The Kona Camera Club was founded in 2001 by a group of amateur and professional photographers to accentuate the art of observation and provide local photographers with the opportunity to expand their talents and deepen their understanding of the art of photography.

At the end of 2021 the core team made a decision that would change the way people think about a photography club. The club has decided to expand their scope by adding more media types to its monthly agendas. The club has never been a place to just sit around and talk about lenses on the contrary “we have hosted professional photographers, photojournalists, travel adventures and Social Media gurus” said Kirk Shorte acting President. This month’s meeting will feature a Big Island icon to whose careers in TV and Radio and photography spans decades.

Roxy knocked it out of the park again. Our second time working together produced a new crop of head shots for her new hairdo. So happy I have my new studio.

Progress continues at a good pace. The walls are up on the second full day of construction. They will be primed tomorrow and fully painted on Nov 10th. The new cabinet construction will kickoff on Nov 3rd. The electrician will start running new circuits, trenching and installing switches, a ceiling fan and outlets hopefully the second week of November. I have to buy a curling fan and paint for the floor then I’ll be ready to start booking shoots.
