We had a great time in Hamden his morning!
Had such a great time visiting Hamden Middle School and learning about their “Breakfast Nook” and partnership with Cooking Matters, CT.
They’re increasing access to healthy, nutritious meals at school and at home. The district has partnered with Whitsons School Nutrition to offer free cooking classes for Hamden families who want to learn how to cook healthy while on a budget.
Many students are food insecure, and these new programs help with that.

Excited about our partnership with Hamden Public Schools, Church Street School in Hamden, CT, and Whitsons Culinary Group. We know the families love Cooking Matters because one of the children exclaimed, "This is so much fun!" And, the program does make a difference!
