The SK Council started its 1st wave of distribution of school supplies to pupils for the incoming A.Y. 2024-2025. The recipients are residents of Barangay 05.

We are committed in helping the Youth Members achieve their goals in life. Through the efforts of the SK Council, youth members who will take the August 2024 CSE will receive Five Hundred Peso Cash Assistance. This will, in a way, help them in the costs of the exams.

Recipients must be registered voters of Barangay 5 and have proof of admission to the August 2024 CSE.

The 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝟎𝟓 invites its youth members (15-30 years old) to attend the first Katipunan ng Kabataan Assembly. This will be held on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 6, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 at 𝟒 𝐏𝐌 at the 𝐌𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢-𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐲 𝟎𝟓.

The attendance of the youth is highly encouraged as this will be an avenue for both the council and its youth member to consider future plans. The SK Council will give its updates on on-going programs. Moreover, this will be an opportunity for the youth members to raise their concerns and provide suggestions to improve the course of this fiscal year.

The results of the MARCH 2024 LET were released on May 24, 2024. 85,890 examinees took the LET for the Secondary Level. Only 50,539 passed and among the successful takers are two residents and youth members of Barangay Poblacion 05:

They are products of EASTERN SAMAR STATE UNIVERSITY and they graduated with distinction. Teacher Trisha and Teacher June Mark are currently teaching at the Divine Child Academy in Lawaan Eastern Samar.

We are overjoyed by Jobi's victory as the newly crowned Mr. Lawaan 2024. Today, it was announced that our arc and karaykay entry won the 1st place for the ARC and KARAYKAY Comptetion. Truly, has manifested.

The SK Council of Barangay 05, Lawaan Eastern Samar lauds SK Treasurer Khrestine B. Elejido for completing the Basic Bookkeeping Course for SK Treasurers held on January 25-26, 2024. Her milestone is ours too as it will help the SK Council start its line of programs for F.Y. 2024.

The Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan-Lawaan is delighted to announce that there will be an ESBVL Season 5 in 2024. The ESBVL is a province-wide competition in basketball and volleyball for under 16 year old players.

The municipality of Lawaan will join the said competition along with the other municipalities in the province of Eastern Samar. Thus, the Pambayang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan-Lawaan invites male basketball players and male and female volleyball players from Lawaan who are not 16 years older in March 2024.

We request all interested players to present a PSA Livebirth as proof of residency and age to their SK Chairperson to qualify for the tryouts.

Deadline for submission and registration is as indicated:

Basketball: January 12-18, 2024
Volleyball: January 12-19, 2024
