Cards are going in the mail today - just a few notes featuring this sweet crooning coyote! I love the simple coloring...and of course a punny greeting. Three cheers for the Musical Jamboree stamp set and simple, subtle color. (Featured on yesterday's episode)

For today's card - use Masking Paper (or a post it note) to mask off parts of the background. Add color for the sky and grass with Blending Brushes. In the video I used post-it note cut in half. But after our live video I made 3 more of this card and used the Stampin' Up! Masking Paper. WOW!! That stuff is amazing - I was able to reuse the mask 3 times and still save it for next time. And there's no worry that the Blending Brush will accidentally pick up the edge of the mask - the masking paper sticks beautifully all over.
So even though I say in the video that I haven't used the Masking Paper much, I am DEFINITELY changing my ways - that stuff is terrific!! So I've added it to the supply link: https://bit.ly/ep479supplies
I'm HOmE from the backcountry and my 7 days at Philmont Scout Ranch for a staff alumni backpacking trip, so today's card is the perfect tribute to an amazing adventure. The Musical Jamboree stamp set features characters and campfire instruments, just like what we experienced at our backcountry campfires.

Yes the greenery in the Season of Green & Gold Suite Collection is easy to cut out with the dies from Golden Greenery... but did you know the BELLS coordinate with the dies, too? They do!! Perfect for adding to little treat tags.

When is a tag not a tag? How about when it's a candy treat container? The Greetings of the Season tag dies are perfect for labeling gifts, but they also come together beautifully to be the treat holder themselves with this fun Tag Treat project featuring the Season of Green & Gold Suite Collection.
Adapt this project for any size candy, these two large tags pair perfectly to hold a set of Ghirardelli chocolates. For a smaller candy (Hershey's Treasures are popular and easy to find) try one of the small tags from the Season of Greetings Dies.

So many little hints for this collage!
Tip - to make the Linen Thread bow stand out more, double or triple the strands of thread before tying.
Tip - mix and match the vellum and specialty DSP images from Season of Green & Gold for pretty layered elements.
Tip - fussy cut a small greeting to avoid overwhelming the collage with too much blank cardstock. Think of this like making a sandwich that doesn't suffer from having too much bread for the filling!

Whether you stamp or use the dies to cut out gilded and vellum images, these pretty layers come together to make an elegant but simple holiday greeting. Tis the season!!
As we continue with our Christmas in July celebration, sometimes the plan is simple but elegant. The Season of Green & Gold Suite Collection is everything elegant, and selecting just a sample of pretty elements allows for layering a simple tag collage card.
Die cut elements can be stamped and cut, or easily cut from the gilded designer series paper or even the Graceful Greenery Vellum for a different effect.
No matter which elements you select, the tags from the Greetings of the Season are perfect to complement all the pieces. Die cut them in cardstock or from the specialty DSP.

Sometimes I like to ink the hybrid embossing folders to bring out the details in a design. But for these sand dollars? I'm a fan of clean and simple. What do you think?

Have you started your Christmas cards yet? Do you start in July? About half of you said during my live last week that you start your cards when you see a stamp set or suite that you love (like this one!). "How To" Tips: the Golden Greenery Dies coordinate with the printed vellum, the specialty DSP AND the stamp set. Use washi tape to hold your dies in place before cutting. For the DSP, I like to rough cut my shapes with scissors (so they fit on the Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine platform) and then use the dies for precise cutting.
