During February, we celebrate Valentine's Day by showing love to our partner. For some people, "Love Hurts" due to past trauma from Intimate Partner Violence (IPV). Some survivors isolate or move forward with another abusive partner without addressing the physical and mental health effects of IPV. According to research, IPV has been associated with poor health outcomes, substance use, depressive symptoms, chronic mental illness, and injury for both men and women. Lack of social support and social isolation has been linked to poor health outcomes for IPV survivors.

Soul-Lutions To Healing will be providing a Holistic Healing Day Retreat on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at Marriott's Manor Club at Ford's Colony in Williamsburg, VA from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. for IPV survivors. The cost of the retreat is $265.00 per person. The day retreat includes Hors D’oeuvres, catered lunch, beverages, individual or group activities, psycho-education, journal/pen, community access, and guest speakers. Our overnight packages are sold out; however, we're still offering the Holistic Healing Day Retreat package. A few months ago, I shared my story as a survivor of Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) after being featured as the therapist/expert on TV One's "Fatal Attraction." As a survivor, I learned how to heal the shame, brokenness, anger, resentment, and other symptoms associated with my trauma. Although my experience was life-changing, God has a way of turning your pain into purpose. After working with survivors for over 10 years, I have learned the tools needed for healing.

The day retreat is designed to provide a safe, confidential, therapeutic, place and space for survivors to learn spiritual principles, practical steps, and to connect with other survivors for healing.
