Had a fun rehearsal last night with Alice BrightSky. She has a show this Saturday Old Rock Deli in Downtown Manhattan.
Sad to hear. This was going on when I played with him but he was stable and in a good way the whole time. Funny stories and always so kind. People were always around in the wings trying to get a piece of him. I hope he gets relief and the help he needs. Blessed to have shared the stage with him!

What a great and influential album this was! Enjoyed this music so much!
Come on in and see what's happening: Our biggest-selling album, The Grand Illusion, was released 46 years ago today on July 7, 1977! Which track from this album has left the most profound impact on you?
"I think the release date had originally been scheduled for 7/8/77 or something like that, and we went, “No, we want it on 7/7/77.” Just trying to stack the deck - not that we’re superstitious, or anything. (chuckles) So they changed the original release date to the 7th, which is fantastic! It has such a beautiful resonance and synergy." — James “JY” Young
Hey, I'm doing fun/free show today with Nebulus. It's part of the "Queens Rockfest" on the Forest Park Bandshell in Middle Village Queens. We hit at 2pm but bands play all day from 12-6pm.

Here's a throwback from my punk/heavier days with a fun band I played in called Gangway Fathead. We were not a very good band but still regulars at CBGB's and many other downtown haunts no longer with us. Fun Times!

Late in his reign, a friend stopped Marcus Aurelius as he was leaving the palace, carrying a stack of books. Finding this to be a surprising sight, the man asked where Marcus was going. He was off to attend a lecture on Stoicism, he said, for “learning is a good thing, even for one who is growing old. From Sextus the philosopher I shall learn what I do not yet know.”
Here is a blast from the past. So fun playing with these gentlemen running from one gig to another.
