Courtenay Hameister - Writer
Columnist, playwright, teacher, Imposter Syndrome survivor. Former head writer, Live Wire. First book, Okay Fine Whatever is out in the world. Also, I love you.
I write essays, articles, sketches and films. I'm the head writer, co-producer and essayist for Live Wire Radio, a variety show that records in front of a live audience and airs on something called RADIO. (It's this box, with dials and things that plays sounds.) I hope it wasn't too soon to say that. Oh. Well, this is awkward. French fry?
It was an absolute joy to be on We Can't Print This with Jason Rouse, Fiona McCann and Eden Dawn. We talked about my Modern Love essay, what it's like to write about the people in your life, and what it's like to be written about. This will come as a shock, but Jason was super charming. I enjoyed every minute of it and I think there are some good takeaways for writers because they asked good questions. 10/10, would recommend being on this fabulous podcast. Get on it!
