We had the honor of delivering 9 boxes of handmade blankets to the Albany Stratton VA Hospital today! 9 boxes all made by one amazing member of Blessing Brigade.
Homemade blankets are a favorite on the hospitality cart. I am sure they will bring comfort to many this winter.

Home from our shopping trip! We started the night with our friend Tom at Sam’s where we filled up his cart in record time! Next we went on to Walmart with your cash donations for items we couldn’t find at Sam’s. I’d say it was a pretty productive trip!

Blessing Brigade is a compassionate charity organization founded and led by a retired veteran and his spouse. We are dedicated to aiding both veterans and members of our community who are experiencing homelessness. We believe that every individual, regardless of their background, deserves a safe and stable place to call home.

We are a community-driven initiative that works hand in hand with larger, established organizations to amplify the impact of our collective efforts. Our foundation is built on the belief that local communities hold immense power to create meaningful change. By partnering with larger organizations, we combine resources, expertise, and outreach to better serve veterans and their families.

We organize impactful drives and events aimed at providing essential resources specifically requested by the organizations with whom we work.

We’d like to give a huge shout out to the LaSalle Cadets on their Blitz Brigade event held last weekend. We love that they continue to support Joseph’s House and VCHC every year. Awesome job by and again this year!

A crock pot, a cooler, paper plates, plastic silverware, plastic cups, size 12 men’s shoes, size 32x34 pants, XL T shirts.
Cash donations can be sent via Venmo. Prefer to do the shopping? No problem! We are happy to pick up your donations and deliver for you.

We have been asked to get started early this year on some back to school basics that they are commonly short on in September.

This photo from 2016 captures the ceremony when the Veteran's Administration recognized the Rensselaer County Challenge to End Veteran's Homelessness.
